Guys, hate to say this but ... by looking at this I can tell its very thin metal gauge. For all those who got the COD Black Ops 2 Hardened Edition and have a hold of the steelbook they'll know.

Its the thinnest feeling steelbook I've ever held. Kinda even plops when touching it if that makes sense. I was able to tell for what I think is "for sure" when seeing that inside pic.

I thought we might not see this type of thing in case of movies and figured it was just cause they make so many of the video game ones ... but it looks like those retailers making huge tens of thousands of qty orders are gonna go that route.

At the cheap price I will buy them all and support US steels but its very saddening. I might just finally grab that Horizontal from Play now as well.

Are these available in store now or is that YMMV?

I think the store have them but likely not supposed to put them out until tuesday, but will grab them if you ask.

That is how they rang up, see two posts above yours. I scanned my receipt. Regularly $14.99 $11 after $3.99 savings

I fully know what oyu mean by the plop sound when I picked them up but they still feel decently sturdy. At $17 it would be a bit too high, I was still going to buy it at that price but felt it was a bit too much, however if it is a first week price drop to $11 I think thats fair

YMMV for me. One store checked in the back and said they were sold out which I don't believe. The second store wouldn't even go in the back to check because it said pre-order online and only sold online. Both stores didn't have them out.

be on the lookout for paint chips when picking these up. They blend a bit because of the gray but 2 of them have chips, glad I got 2 sets

Yeah I can honestly say this was an impulse buy and now looking at them again I plan on returning them on tuesday. Nothing special...using the cash on the DKR digibooks instead.

Went to a number of area Targets and none of them had them out on the floor yet, and all had very few of them total; Ultimatum being the one they all seemed to have the least of.

That said, "The Plop" (courtesy of the 'bossing) is kind of annoying, and I couldn't hand-pick because they weren't out yet (bit of a bummer), but it was worth all the running around just to lock in that $11.00 price. What a steal.

No, I will not make that pun for the bazillionth time, thank you. :p

Bummer to hear about this new lower-grade option though, it's not like the flimsy tin we've become accustomed to was anything you could consider "high quality" to begin with. I shudder to think of Best-Buy-WB-caliber steels with crummier print quality AND crummier tin quality. Yuck.

Now you can argue with Bourne :hilarious:

Naw, Jason Bourne himself is disappointed at the moment in these. :ugh: Thought they would be nicer. The faded back art that looks like the printer ran out of ink and flimsy steel quality are just a downer. Oh well's. At-least I have the UK Trilogy steel & will be getting the UK Legacy steel as well. I would have loved it if they debossed the Legacy UK steel like the trilogy steel from UK but its nice enough as it is since they matched the "style" of art with each other. Of course there is still a problem with the UK trilogy steel being that its not vertical!

All in all this didnt work out the way I thought it would. But like a sucker that I am Ill still gunna' get em' :emb: because Im a big fan of the franchise.

:hilarious: and to think we are now at a 180. I didn't own the Bourne's on Blu so to me for $11 these will do

Tell me about. Really disappointed as the quality of the print and steel have made these just "another steelbook release".

Oh well. At-least you got em' for $11... there $20 here at Future Shop :ugh:

Yeah, the more I look at these, the more I'm realizing it's gonna be a challenge to find a copy that's free of dents, paint chips, and has the printing lined up with the embossing.

That said, sure these aren't the greatest, but hey, there's no printing on the back, no ratings logos, no Blu banner, no bilingual spine, no region-locked disc... and it's embossed, has interior art, doesn't exclude a second features disc, and costs 11 freakin' dollars.

More right than wrong if you ask me. :)

Let's just hope that this low-end material and printing process doesn't become a trend. If this thing wasn't embossed it seriously would look homemade, like Ricker says.
