It has been so long that I'd forgotten what they are called - those darn flipper discs are back!

The economics of this simply do not make sense to me unless the plastic insert with two disc hubs costs more than with one. But still...need to support embossed US steelbooks!

As much as I am not a fan of these flippers, I am with you on supporting the release (I snagged all three).

Have you asked if they have them in the back/stockroom. My store didn't have them out either but they had them in stock. Though I have a feeling that with new release tuesday more stores will begin to put these out tomorrow

Yeah i asked them. 2 of the store employees told me they will not sell them until the official release date. The other 2 stores claim to not have them at all. So like you im hoping tomorrow being tuesday (blu ray/dvd release day) one of the stores just might release them.

Thats odd, the employee at the target went to the back and got them from the stockroom, which is why I suggested it. Guess it really is YMMV.

My local BB's are very strict with release dates but I guess my targets not so much

This is extremely frustrating for US collectors dealing with incompetency like that. If you look at the picture of the items and the sale tag I posted, it very clearly stated the sale is from 12/2 to 12/8 which means these steelbooks went on sale yesterday and was active in their POS system before that (folks who saw them on shelves and bought them before yesterday have actually gone back and got their refunds). I bet the stores that are not putting them out confused these steelbooks with the release date of the Bourne Legacy steelbook.

That is the crazy thing - these items are active in the POS and should be out on the shelves especially when they have a sale for them. Why still keep them in the back?

I have a feeling they are confusing these with new releases, the target people are ok but the people at my BB know me by now so they are very nice.

I picked up my copies on Sunday though so if that was the first day it makes some sense if they wer enot put out, but as I said above likely is that new releases are tuesday so the employees likely assume it has to wait until then.

Technically the TDKR release has the release price from 12/2-12/8 but they can't put them out until 12/4

Ultimatum is proving the most elusive. I have the first 2 but Ultimatum is proving to be a pain.

I know what you mean... I checked today at my Target and again they only have the first two and I can't seem to find Ultimatum. I hope they will be there tomorrow.

Same here. No Ultimatum. My store only had about 4 steels total.

Need to see them on a big screen in full 7.1 surround with the sub base blowing your trousers off.

Hey don't do that, if you want pm your codes I will more than happily take them off your hands. I watch movies on the go all the time from my phone to my ipad to my laptop (watched amazing spiderman on my laptop today). I love digital movies I doubt I will ever play the actual discs of these as I worked as an Assistant Store Manager for a Blockbuster and a Store Manager for a Hollywood video and the single worst movies that got scratched and ruined were always flippers. They are the bane of the movie world.

Only buying this for the Steelbook, will never play the flipper disc as I have the original trilogy Steelbook I got in the UK plus I have the box set too.

These flipper discs are only fit for using as coasters or throwing for the dog to catch!!

Not sure if its still the same as it used to be but it used to be (as they haven't made these in a long time and rightfully so) with the DVD flippers they would never lay both sides of the film on the disc right and when they laid them wrong this caused an imbalance when you played the DVD. This imbalance caused the discs to wobble when played causing the discs to develop a ring of scratches around them from the wobble. We would get DVD flippers that were scratched after the first playing of them and being brand new, the worst I remember was the Butterfly Effect I swear half our discs for that movie were unusable after just 6-7 rentals.

If you value your movie I am not sure if I would even play these flippers, I doubt they ever fixed that wobble effect and the imbalance.

I guess I'm the only one who doesn't like any of these. I thought they might look better in person but wasn't the case for me.Jason Bourne on all three covers look like cut outs made by a three year old lol they look horrible to me. it looks like he's wearing a rug on top of his head.

It's a very lazy job, but for $11, why not right? I don't own any of the series in steelbook, so I might as well buy it and put it on the shelf.

So far, I can't get a hold of Identity and Supremacy. 7 stores in my area do not carry them. If I can't get those 2, then I'm going to return Ultimatum. I won't even bother owning them due to the quality.
