I am officially done with Amazon JP!!
I know that lets say if I ordered multiple steels they would probably send them all to me in a nice box with padding and what not, but come on, I'm shelling out $70 for one steelbook actually $140 because I ordered two copies (two separate orders) and BOTH have come to me dented/chipped/dinged! They send it to me in this really really thin cardboard sleeve that looks almost like 2 sheets of paper stuck together with no added protection!

Yeah I know how you feel, mine fortunately came mint when I had that thin cardboard sleeve your describing. I guess no one sat on mine!
It's so frustrating! Now I have to open two separate damaged item claims! Amazon will probably think I'm trying to fool them or something....Very disheartening.......

If one is dent on the front and one at the back then you can dismantle them and re-assemble them using the both perfect side.

You may end up getting a nice complete one without dents.
I think amazon Japan customer service is the most friendly, just tell them you again received the copy damaged. Request them to send them with more protected packaging. They would do it, that's what I get. Good luck.

I know exactly what you mean! But unfortunately both my issues with the steels are on the front side! I opened a damage claim for my previously damaged copy 2 days ago and the replacement is already on its way. Once I received this one today I opened a claim on that as well and sent a personal email along with it explaining my disappointment and asked for better packaging. I still haven't heard back yet......

I figured this would happen if I didn't order at least 2 steelbooks. My Dark Knight & HP 7.1 came in amazon.com style packaging; in a box, secured on a piece of cardboard with heavy plastic wrapping. No bubble wrap or airpacks, but they both came safe & sound.
My 2nd copy arrived today in mint condition. This one came from an amazon.com 3rd party seller. So if you want to shell out $73, that's another option (I had a $40 gift card from trading in 2 copies of Judge Dredd). I used the seller "Linkage International" based in Japan. Here's what he used for shipping...

Saw TDKR last night, and am super pumped to get a Bain white cover to go along with these. PLEASE do not disapoint WB! Please reserve 1 JP and 1 KR version for me. 
In the end, I think this will still be my favorite out of the 3. If you don't have this, get it before it's gone!

There are so many versions of TDK where as BB, back then, there were only two releases, the canadian release and this one (as well as Korean version released at same time). I think BB looks awesome, best of the white steelz.

Yes she was cute. But Bain is the best choice by far. Would make an insanely nice white cover

Is it pretty safe to assume it will have a white cover steel to fit the set?
It's either that or hyping a Steelbook beyond belief. I think you've probably single handedly sold out the stock of this Steelbook. Do you work for Amazon.jp? It's a long way to commute
