please use this thread as a RESOURCE to ask your fellow members about problems you've had with a reseller or questions about e-bay.

do NOT use this thread to attack or refute other members. if you an e-bay dispute with a member here, perhaps it's best to approach a trading mod before posting? we don't police e-bay, but maybe we can give you a tip or two.

if members ignore these suggestions, then the thread might be locked for a couple of weeks.

hey folks,

as a reminder what myself (and other mods) have continued to mention via private message, e-mail and other areas. we do NOT police other trading marketplaces like ebay, youtube, amazon and the rest.

there is ONLY a certain amount of information at our disposal and we do not have the resources in these other locations as we do on this forum - things that we can look at and evaluate.

having said that, there are trading rules on this forum that have been instituted for your own protection for trading transactions that happen HERE.

this includes the pending / active sales threads, the requirement of feedback posted for any new traders, our support ticketing system, the active investigations held by trading moderators and many other things we do not discuss openly.

we have long held that problems occurring on these other forums and marketplaces should be taken the appropriate authorities on THOSE websites.

many of you are established traders here on this forum and you should know all about the guidelines that are stickied in this section - including having new traders send first, getting tracking from the other party and proof of shipment, and what other precautions can be taken to protect your trading safety.

trading via ebay and their messaging system is against their stated policy and should not occur - and there are reasons why they have created that policy. you don't have protection of paypal or their listing system as a buyer or seller.

having said that, if there is trouble with an ebay seller or buyer, you should go to their website and report it there. if you are not aware of this process, follow the below link for more information.

so folks can feel free to chat about a seller or buyer that they are having problems with, but I can tell you right now - there will not be a "witch hunt" by moderators or staff based on one person's account of the problems or trouble they are having - and we limit the action taken for or against members here to transactions that occurred on this forum.

My one and only experience of this guy isn't the same.

I bought an item on the 25th of August.
5th October and it still hadn't arrived -
he'd sent it to HK by mistake

Topcat i've dealt with you before and you're very, very honest which goes far in my book. The majority of transactions go through smoothly, his feedback is good, but from time to time things get screwed and wires crossed. Just my two cents..

Also he gave me a full refund and he got his SB back from HK.
I was out of the 30 days, so it was completly my risk.

He's a good guy, sorry if my post suggested otherwise.

It did arrive, thank goodness.
Unfortunately, 1st class international doesn't provide real time tracking.
I sent the package to a country I never heard of, I didn't even know it existed.

Has anyone ever had someone accuse you of making fake accounts to raise your prices. I have had several ebayers bid with 0 feedback on my auctions and he is accusing me of being those bidders. The fact is that the bidder has paid for all 7 of his auctions. But this person keeps sending me messages saying he is eyeing my auctions to see if this 0 feedback bidder will keep winning my auctions. How do you get a person like this to leave you alone. It is insane how there is so many bidders out there that believe they can cause issues for the sellers because Ebay favors the buyers.

Just had to vent. This person on Ebay is just rediculous

Make your auctions private, so he/she can't see who is bidding. Don't forget to tell them to suck on it and to mind their own business.

just want to pint out : that I have bought from him before !! and his packaging is Top's & steelz are OCD , unless stated , just his normal ask prices are a bit How, yah going normally , but $1 start !!!!

$1 start on all his items !!

I went through all 29 pages of his auctions and that has to be one of the most high priced sellers I have ever seen, like crazy ridiculous prices and who in their right mind would bid on prices. He had a goldeneye still available from play for 12 pounds for $83 (I just did a trade with someone for it). He had a This Is It something you can't give away for $15 on Ebay for $50. I mean what an amazing collection he is selling but not at those prices.

As far as his BIN or asking prices go ? they may seem a bit harsh , but Trust me when I say this : I have seen a lot worse on here !!! and soon this place will be a lot worse than his !!!!!!

I know this guy , and yes his prices have been very Topical on here , but I wasn't meaning to refer directly to his prices, It was more to the point that he is doing real Auctions now , instead of BIN !!

I must remember to be more precises when quoting things in da future

Yea his true auctions were fine, each of his BINs were insane. I like true auctions lets the market determine the price, I swear some of these crazy BINs just rerelease their items over and over hoping for one sucker.

Not really. This is how OCD folks are. Very tough to deal with and always trying to hunt for imperfections. The case will still be in your favor as buyer will be asked to return at his own expense. You can report to eBay if buyer leaves -ve or neutral feedback.

What steelbook is it Naughtius? He should have read the listing more clearly and looked at the pics.

It was a Hellboy II steel - i've already told him that it was HIS responsibility to check/read the listing BEFORE buying so I won't be offering a refund, especially as the steel arrived in mint condition...
