please use this thread as a RESOURCE to ask your fellow members about problems you've had with a reseller or questions about e-bay.

do NOT use this thread to attack or refute other members. if you an e-bay dispute with a member here, perhaps it's best to approach a trading mod before posting? we don't police e-bay, but maybe we can give you a tip or two.

if members ignore these suggestions, then the thread might be locked for a couple of weeks.

hey folks,

as a reminder what myself (and other mods) have continued to mention via private message, e-mail and other areas. we do NOT police other trading marketplaces like ebay, youtube, amazon and the rest.

there is ONLY a certain amount of information at our disposal and we do not have the resources in these other locations as we do on this forum - things that we can look at and evaluate.

having said that, there are trading rules on this forum that have been instituted for your own protection for trading transactions that happen HERE.

this includes the pending / active sales threads, the requirement of feedback posted for any new traders, our support ticketing system, the active investigations held by trading moderators and many other things we do not discuss openly.

we have long held that problems occurring on these other forums and marketplaces should be taken the appropriate authorities on THOSE websites.

many of you are established traders here on this forum and you should know all about the guidelines that are stickied in this section - including having new traders send first, getting tracking from the other party and proof of shipment, and what other precautions can be taken to protect your trading safety.

trading via ebay and their messaging system is against their stated policy and should not occur - and there are reasons why they have created that policy. you don't have protection of paypal or their listing system as a buyer or seller.

having said that, if there is trouble with an ebay seller or buyer, you should go to their website and report it there. if you are not aware of this process, follow the below link for more information.

so folks can feel free to chat about a seller or buyer that they are having problems with, but I can tell you right now - there will not be a "witch hunt" by moderators or staff based on one person's account of the problems or trouble they are having - and we limit the action taken for or against members here to transactions that occurred on this forum.

Anyone deal with elachris62 on ebay before? He regularly sells on ebay. He also goes by muscipulaa2010...based in Lubeck, Germany.

He has a perfect record on ebay, so silly me, after buying 2 steels from him a few months ago, decided to ask whether he wants to trade, he said yes. I sent him quite a number of steels, never heard from him again. He gave a sob story that his father was sick in Greece, but he is back active on ebay again, but still no word from him. Just to caution all members...is he on HDN, btw?

Yes, I have dealt with him a few times. Recently, I bought Sucker Punch G1 FR. When it came, it had impressions on the top and bottom as if a G2 SB had been sitting on it for an extended period of time (Looking in the thread, there are many like this). Without even asking he sent me another copy and let me keep the other one. Unfortunately, the 2nd copy had the same type of impression, but on just one side. He was going to send me a 3rd copy at no cost to me, but I just told him he already went above and beyond and just decided to close the transaction.

Yep, my bad. I understand, sellers are in it for the money, and he did send steels for which I paid for, but where's the integrity in what he did?

I am not hopeful, it has been quite a while. Just hoping someone here knows him personally and knock some sense in him (though I admit it was I who had no common sense), or lives near him and knock on his door (I have his address, of course).

He seems like a legit guy in my dealing with him, and I hope it is just a misunderstanding. Since I have dealt with him before, I will send him a message through eBay and see what he says.

Yes, I've bought from him once before on ebay under the muscipulaa2010 account. No problem with that transaction as far as I remember. As roseart mentioned, he also has a third account. Hope everything gets sorted out soon.

Bought an IM FS through Paypal invoice on saturday and now deeply regretting it. He said he'd send it out on monday or tuesday, so when i didnt get any response by wednesday I asked him for the tracking number, to which he replied

"I sent every Tuesday with acknowledgment of receipt and a tracking number, I have all updated on your paypal with tracking number. Good reception."

I received that package today and to my horror, it is just an empty jiffy bag!!

Ive not bothered contacting him directly yet as i know the response id get if any. So have opened a case with PP to try and get it rectified.

Again, make sure none of you ninjas have any dealings with couscous94120. He's a lying scumbag!

Are people allowed to cancel the auction before it ends? Not that familiar with ebay rules. This is the second time they have done this to me. Guessing they were not happy with how much they were getting for the item.
