Well we keep finding more and more fans, garlad you are just adding to the group. So let's keep all football related content in this thread since we are small group of fans who actually follow we can't make threads that only one person will reply. Anyways Scott, Baliey, Dattebayo and myself all follow pro football. The same people in addition to Bravesfan and jrocca have/play FIFA09.

To answer your question from the other thread, yes I do follow. I don't have a particular team in the EPL, but I enjoy watching the games. However I am liking Liverpool this year, I think if they don't win it now they won't in a long time! they are finally reaching that talent threshold and it's their time! Torres is in a fantastic level and Benitez is having no issues with players so what else can I say? ManU is finally losing grip. Chelsea is a mess I think, they keep buying players and more players that bring a huge ego and that's why the teams is so inconsistent! the egos that team has will not let them find their rhythm. Arsenal has a relatively young team that will only get better and I keep reading everywhere that they might lose Fabregas this next summer....

I used to watch plenty of the Spanish league, but I lost GolTV which used to show all the games every weekend. Fox Sports channel now shows the EPL and the Serie A Italian league which is not bad, but not the same.

To be honest, Ireland doesn't really have many stars, very few players play in the top division of their leagues. Going against Spain that has a killer mid it was no surprise to see them get beat like that.

I am hoping to see another Spain - Germany in the final. Everyone else is just there to make it difficult to get there. Portugal is mediocre, Holland left their game back at home, England brought their hospital along with them, France looked decent but not being able to take the 3 points from a English team that is missing key players has no excuses.

I was at home watching the when when I saw Zlatan put that one in. Man was that nice!

Man that game was almost one sided, there was a few portions of the match that Italy was dominant.

Was it just me or did everyone notice Gerrard disappeared from the game on the second half?

I didn't think missing Lampard would affect England this much, I mean they've had enough time to develop new talent knowing the advance age of their creative mids.

Just think of the players who missed out - huddlestone, walker, sturidge, Wilshere, smalling...and more... things are looking bright!

Young was the most disappointing player overall, so much skill but rarely saw it.

I was wondering what happened to Wilshire, but I was pretty disconnected from what happened on the EPL this past season to know players status for the Euro.

It could have been worse, Ashley Cole could have missed the penalty in Munich.......


Anyway, you've got to fancy the Germans to beat Italy, Spain and Portugal, not sure, Portugal might just pull something special off, wish I'd stuck a fiver on them at the start of the tournament.

I hope Spain moves through the final and leaves Ronaldo and company out. Nothing more would please me more than to see Ronaldo fail with his national team again and again.
