Well we keep finding more and more fans, garlad you are just adding to the group. So let's keep all football related content in this thread since we are small group of fans who actually follow we can't make threads that only one person will reply. Anyways Scott, Baliey, Dattebayo and myself all follow pro football. The same people in addition to Bravesfan and jrocca have/play FIFA09.

To answer your question from the other thread, yes I do follow. I don't have a particular team in the EPL, but I enjoy watching the games. However I am liking Liverpool this year, I think if they don't win it now they won't in a long time! they are finally reaching that talent threshold and it's their time! Torres is in a fantastic level and Benitez is having no issues with players so what else can I say? ManU is finally losing grip. Chelsea is a mess I think, they keep buying players and more players that bring a huge ego and that's why the teams is so inconsistent! the egos that team has will not let them find their rhythm. Arsenal has a relatively young team that will only get better and I keep reading everywhere that they might lose Fabregas this next summer....

I used to watch plenty of the Spanish league, but I lost GolTV which used to show all the games every weekend. Fox Sports channel now shows the EPL and the Serie A Italian league which is not bad, but not the same.

It just seems dumb that he is giving that excuse when there are teams that play at very low altitudes like Brazil and high altitudes (2500 ft + above sea level) like Mexico and Bolivia. Yet there's never a complain from these teams about the ball in use. That was just a pathetic excuse. Sure, the ball looks rather nice, but he should of thought about the effects as well. I'd hate to see complaints about a loss because of the ball.

A ball is a ball, i remember the 2002 world cup they where complainging about the f-ing ball :hilarious:

I agree, the WC in 2002 had that weird bounce lol I remember it too much sponge in the middle would make it bounce all weird. I remember playing with an official ball and that thing was weird.

Yeah I don't see Germany going to the final. Specially not without the brains and captain of the team, but hey anything can happen I guess like Mexico being in the final!!! :D

Well we beat Italy today 2-1 and it could of easily have been 4 or even 5 to 1. Anyway, they played pretty good and never handed the ball or initiative to the Italian's good way to end the friendlies before the opener next Friday! :scat::mexico:

Spain emerged as champion from EA Sports' simulation of the World Cup final in 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa, with England losing on penalty kicks in a semifinal with Brazil and the Americans falling in the round of 16.

The game has the Spaniards besting Brazil 3-1 in the title match to claim the country's first World Cup. Spain met its biggest test in a quarterfinal 1-1 draw with defending champion Italy (pictured), advancing on penalty kicks 5-4.

In this hemisphere, the simulation picked the United States to lose to England 2-1 in their highly anticipated match to open Group C play. The Americans went on to victories over Slovenia and Algeria to advance to elimination play, where they drew with Germany 2-2 and were eliminated on penalty kicks.

Mexico, according to the simulation, notched easy wins over South Africa and Uruguay to advance out of Group A (with France), then ran into Argentina in the round of 16 and fell 2-1.

2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa predicted seven goals and the Golden Boot for Spain's David Villa, and a Golden Ball for Kaka of Brazil.

The full results of the simulated tournament are at the link. Host South Africa was the first team to be eliminated.

* World Champion: Spain
* World Cup Final: Spain 3 Brazil 1
* 1st team to be eliminated: South Africa

I saw that this morning and I chuckled a bit. While it's not so difficult to think that final may actually happen, Spain 99% of the time have a tendency of choking during the final run. Hopefully they can get that stigma off their backs.
