Well we keep finding more and more fans, garlad you are just adding to the group. So let's keep all football related content in this thread since we are small group of fans who actually follow we can't make threads that only one person will reply. Anyways Scott, Baliey, Dattebayo and myself all follow pro football. The same people in addition to Bravesfan and jrocca have/play FIFA09.

To answer your question from the other thread, yes I do follow. I don't have a particular team in the EPL, but I enjoy watching the games. However I am liking Liverpool this year, I think if they don't win it now they won't in a long time! they are finally reaching that talent threshold and it's their time! Torres is in a fantastic level and Benitez is having no issues with players so what else can I say? ManU is finally losing grip. Chelsea is a mess I think, they keep buying players and more players that bring a huge ego and that's why the teams is so inconsistent! the egos that team has will not let them find their rhythm. Arsenal has a relatively young team that will only get better and I keep reading everywhere that they might lose Fabregas this next summer....

I used to watch plenty of the Spanish league, but I lost GolTV which used to show all the games every weekend. Fox Sports channel now shows the EPL and the Serie A Italian league which is not bad, but not the same.

Fergie to retire this season? Headline in sun

Wow I didn't think this was coming anytime soon...

The announcement of Ferguson's retirement has prompted a frenzy of money being placed on the Everton manager to succeed the 71 year-old.
And Telegraph Sport understands that Moyes, whose contract at Goodison Park expires at the end of the season, has already been identified as Ferguson's successor and will be confirmed before United's next game, on Sunday, against Swansea.

Despite long-term speculation linking Jose Mourinho with the manager's job at Old Trafford in the event of Ferguson's retirement, the former Chelsea manager lacks support among the higher echelons of the United hierarchy.
Moyes's record at Everton since arriving from Preston North End in March 2002 lacks a trophy, or experience of Champions League football beyond the qualifying rounds, but the Scot's readiness to build teams and promote youth is understood to be central to United's decision to recruit the 50 year-old.
Ferguson's elevation to a position on the United board ensures that the two men will be in a regular contact at Old Trafford, but the pair's strong relationship, which saw Moyes offered the job as Ferguson's assistant in 1999-2000, is likely to prevent friction between the manager's office and the boardroom.

This is probably long time coming though. I liked Ferguson, but recently I felt he was getting out of touch. Him and some of his staff had a good eye for scouting that's for sure.

He was s great coach so there's nothing bad to be said about him.

There's a chance we may meet Bayern Munich in the Super Cup, after tonights win!

Second greatest night of my life tonight, and a well done to Benfica, who to be fair, were the better side, their fans were brilliant also!

I love soccer, played myself for about 10 years.

I don't watch as much soccer in tv as I used to, but when I do it's usually Champions League or La Liga. My favorite player has and will always be Backham, so I watch the PSG matches sometimes too. :)

He's a bit past it now, great in his day, but should have gone back to Manchester United after Real Madrid, he could have won so much more.

Not that I'm complaining mind.

what the hell was demba Ba doing up with the cup, even got a medal the greedy p***k

did Terry get his shin pads out again :p

nah it was a nice winning goal from chelsea tonight and who knows maybe Rafa will be manager next season too.

I really do feel sorry for Benfica fans, they lost to their fierce rivals and now they lost the Europa final in the last minute. Is that club really cursed?

Walcott on Spurs: "we'll I'd like to say it's a shame, but it's not really!" :hilarious:

But look at the positives, you got more points than you have in a long time. And if you do end up selling Bale, you could probably get 3 goalscorers for the same amount.

Why would Ancelotti wanna take over the madhouse that is Real Madrid. Can't figure this out yet. PSG are on the up and have a good squad.
That said, glad my gunners finished well. With proper strengthening this off season, maybe they can legitimately challenge for the league again

Mourinho was always on his way back there since Di Matteo got the boot would be a good uturn if City managed to nab him? Can't wait for the whole transfers to start flying about thin there will be a lot of battles between Chelsea and City for Marquee players like Cavani and Benzema also think someone should nab Luke Shaw from Southampton future England left back and been sensational this year Spurs could do with him

I think Spurs have more pressing concerns like signing someone who can score goals other than Bale.

I hear Gervinho is interesting Lyon so I'd swap him for Gonalons. Then we'd have two forward positions available, preferably Jovetic and maybe Higuain, plus plenty of money left over for a gk and cb/rb

I want a big murdering South American defensive midfielder since it looks like Frimpong won't fit the bill.
Tragic as well, the lads a proper gooner.

I think Bale will go abroad don't think Spurs would be silly enough to let him go to Chelsea,City or United and to yeah they need someone to grab them goals more importantly they need to utilize Defoe the best natural finisher in the premiership.

Arsenal are in the same boat as Spurs they still need to replace RVP get a guy who can bring in 20 goals a season Jovetic is the guy I think they will go for.

Well the difference for us since losing RvP is 2 goals fewer, but we also conceded fewer goals. We're much better as a whole since we stopped relying on him. That being said, if anyone can get 20+ goals a season out of Jovetic then it's AW. Plus he has fantastic dribbling skills and a huge amount of talent.
