From the pictures it has a metallic shine. Gone are the times when Arrow Steelbooks had a nice mat finish with great colours.

Their donnie darko is like that and is an absolute stunner!

Received my copy today. It looks awfully cheap. Cheap metallic sheen, cheap looking colours and cheap finish. Compare this to the ones mentioned above (The Beyond, Zombie Flesh Eaters, also Phantom of the Paradise and much more.......) and you will see that this a complete different league.
This is it. I won't pre-order any Arrow Steelbook from now on and will wait for the inevitable price-drop. This is breaking my heart. Shame on you Arrow.

Weird as just put it in my blu ray player and it came up with no disc. Checked and it states 4k restoration on the slip...So wanted to check with ninjas.

Blu ray player working fine as watching big trouble in litre China instead lol

Correct I suspect any 4k pressing of old films will be very very selective simply because of the need to tidy up any effects especially in sci-fi films.

Got this today, same crappy finish as The Thing, bare metal + streaky matte, oh well....
