Where does it say this is a lenticular cover? All the other Asian 4-disc steelbook versions are not lenticular.

That's a good question. The Life of Pi listing said it was lenticular, this one does not. It may not be lenticular. Even more of a reason for me to cancel it.

That's a good point actually, a couple of the European 3D versions with the Gandalf artwork come with lenticular magnets... I kind of assumed that it would be a global trend for this artwork release but looking through the listings for the Asian releases, I can't see any that mention lenticular!

I think people are getting confused. There are two SKUs for the 4disc 3D+2D version.

One is a STEELBOOK version WITHOUT a lenticular cover.

The other is an AMARAY version WITH a lenticular cover.

Edit: The Korean versions are like this. The Taiwan version might be different. It might be the Taiwan version is steelbook AND lenticular. But right now nowhere says this.

I don't see them doing a box like this if the Steelbook was not Lenticular, plus its the same as what they did for LOP.
I am keeping my order as I also have KR on order too and they will make a great set.

Still looking forward to getting this. ;)

If your looking for the best of the releases of this, then the winner I think is going to be the Singapore version with its limited print run and unique Slip!!!

Or maybe it comes with a lenticular card (like the promo's given with the Wal Mart digibook) but it's not a magnetic lenticular.

Buy whatever U like guys or for peace of mind simply buy all three 'main' releases: TW/KR & SGR just like most nutty collectors including myself, the choice is yours :hilarious:

I'm still digging this TW version ;)

I'm actually glad I held off ordering this. Becoming more and more bizarre.

Wonder if this box thing is the way Taiwan steels are going now?

I'm very interested in how this turns out.

Any real pics of this release? If it has a lenticular cover i might consider buying this one :naughty:

Not released until 3rd, and the 17th on Yesasia :(

Anyway, i guess it will be the same steel as the rest of the 3d gandalf editions with the exception of Germany and France as they do not have english text on them... as far as i no the only lenticular edition is France and possibley German, although it would be nice ;)
However i wouldnt hold your breath if i were you...

In my opinion, lenticular or not this will be the best edition. Korea has NO slip, and i dont like the Singapore slip, at least this has a window box. To be honest i don't know what all of the negative feedback about the window box is about, i personally really like them if Life Of Pi is anything to go by, and this looks even better as it continues the artwork onto the card. I for one am really looking forward to this release... In fact, i was so unexcited with the Korean version i cancelled it along with the French 3d and the UK 2d steel as i think this version is the best... but thats just my opinion :)

I guess when it comes to package deals TW is the winner and Korea ends up being the place to go for the slip. Oh well.

I like how you usually base your statements in threads on expectations instead of facts :hilarious:.

Anyhow, since I canceled my Korean 3D order due to a lack of the slip, I'm looking for a good alternative. This isn't it though...I don't like the box.

Ordered one of these and canceled the UK version. This will be my first Taiwan Steelbook so I'm hoping it lives up to my expectations after reading some of the threads on here.

Unless you are determined to get an Asian release of this film, i would recomend the French version as it's got a lenticular cover, however i did earlier post that i cancelled mine, but that is due to the French titles on the steel... If you can put up with that, then it should be a nice edition... :)

I cancelled my Uk version from Amazon, went for this one. I am not bothered about slips if am honest, when I buy something I buy it for me and my personal enjoyment. It will be part of my collection, the fact it had English heading sold me and Korea was sold out. Think this was the one..... However if anyone wants to make an offer for the slip cover mine will almost certainly end up binned or on eBay... Let me know! :)
