Unless you are determined to get an Asian release of this film, i would recomend the French version as it's got a lenticular cover, however i did earlier post that i cancelled mine, but that is due to the French titles on the steel... If you can put up with that, then it should be a nice edition...

Haha, we're on the same page...I don't like the French title either!

I'm actually thinking about waiting out until the extended edition later this year. There isn't a single edition that does it for me for a reasonable price. The German and French 3D ones have foreign titles and as far as the Asian titles go, only the Singaporean version is nice with slip, but it's expensive and heavy due to the artbook. All that's left is Asian without slip (thus not worth the price for me) or 2D (and I also want 3D), so I actually think I'll end up buying none this round !

But hey, it saves money for now !

Anyhow, since I canceled my Korean 3D order due to a lack of the slip, I'm looking for a good alternative. This isn't it though...I don't like the box.

Had I known they were gonna pull a Dark Knight Rises I would have said different.

Its the main reason I have it on pre order, just browsing I seem the lion king Taiwan edition has foreign title on the case.

I don't care about slips, I am talking about the words
"The hobbit: unexpected journey 3d" and then then the pic of gandalf, on the front and back making it the only writing on the steelbook.

Will this be English? Again I know audio will be, its just the headings on sb

The Taiwan Lion King actually does have English titles, the foreigh writing is o the slip, it actually does say Lion King on the steel... and you can be safe that it will have English writing on the Hobbit as well, i have never known an Asian release to have foreign titles unless ot is a foreign film. However the window box/slip it comes with will have Asian text on the back, but of your not bothered about the slip then thays fine...
Personally if your not buying this edition for the slip then i would purchase the Hong Kong edition or another Asian edition of that sort as it will be cheaper than the £40 YesAsia are asking

But in short, it will have no Asian text on the steel itself

It's exactly like the LoP box, far as I can tell. Don't think this one will be lenticular though, so not really sure of the need for the box. And while LoP release looks nice once opened, I personally do not like the box at all.

Having said that, they may be packing it like that because there are gifts with Hobbit! A man can hope
