This is brutal.....85% of mine have paint chips or small scratches....and they are now out of stock online!!

then this comes from manufacture and unless they re doing them again i don't know how can be fixed

And most stores will only receive 5 copies each since they are the left-overs from the online sale. It was not supposed to be sold in stores, I guess they expected it to be sold-out before release day.

I got 4 paint chips on my copy today. Even though there was no dent, still worst 'damage' that I've ever received from FS.

Going to return it.

I have not unwrapped my D12 copy but visible are three very small/minor paint chips along the edges: two on the front and one on the back. While not perfect, I can certainly live with this.

By the way my steelbooks did ship in a box with paper wrapping.

These were sold out at my store 10 mins after it opened. All of the ones I saw had some sort of scratch on them too.

My store had 10 copies. 4 had box cutter lines . Went to two other stores all sold out within 30 minutes of opening. All had a minor paint issue (not really noticeable), will compare to my pre-orders that are still coming in the mail this week. If someone didn't make the cut on a group buy PM me, depending on how they arrive I may have a couple of extras.

Hey does anyone know if the digital copy for these alliance Hunger Games steelbooks will work in the US. I know the last Alliance steelbook I purchased (Immortals) the code didn't since it was hosted on their site.

Does anyone who has opened theirs have any info. Thanks in advance

I went to 6 stores in a span of 1 1/2 hours at 10 AM...no luck..found one only but with dents...sad thing is I see one or two people holding the District twelve and I was a minute or two late in getting it...they said it was only 5 to 6 per stores, but most likely out of those numbers an employee or two would get half of it...

if you are only returning them because of paint chips...might as well sell it to a member here who might be okey with the paint chip with no dents...

Well I missed the boat on this one I guess, I didn't realize they weren't supposed to be in stores and were an online order or I would have placed an order for one and had it shipped to my sister. She went in looking to get both versions for me and the store by her house only had the Mockingjay Version so she picked that up for me, I guess I will have to resort to ebay for the District 12 version.

It's been discussed, but no actual pictures to show the paint chip issue.

As you ALL should know, the D12 steelbook has a manufacturer's defautl on it. 90% of all the steels I've received have this paint chip issue. Nothing serious, but for you all OCD collectors, sorry guys...
I've been in stores to check the copies they received and it's the SAME problem!
