Well i've seen plenty for under 20£, and just some ppl paying crazy over the top prices it doesn't this is standard

I think you are mistaken for the 'best offer' that is available from £40 that is sold just like you are with The Thing steelbook. On bids it will go around £20.

I can see that other Marvel steels have gone up including Thor, Iron Man, Iron Man 2.

I always liked the Hulk, the incredible one, I mean... So I am pleased to see this increasing in value, and we should have seen this coming.

I picked up both of these (hulk & thing) for 20-25£ each from auctions... never go for the buy it now or best offer unless its actually decent... rarely is... & sure lots do go high on auctions cause peeps dont bother to check all listings... I've watched some steels go for allot lot more than the over the top buy it now prices

i'm surprised that they are going up in price, at the rate it was I remember when you couldn't sell these for less than £10, is it a increase in steelbook awareness due to Zavvi and people are wanting the complete Marvel set.

the captain America steel seems to be the one not going for as much now.

I feel that I must add something to this conversation.
The whole horizental steelbooks wave from "Play" back in the end of 2012 didn't make a huge noise even a year later plenty of them were still available at reasonable prices below £20 including "Kick-Ass".

What I've seen lately that (almost) every SB release from the UK didn't sell out fast or at all for that matter. On top of that it was and still is very hard to predict which ones will go OOP or increased their value (Zavvi's waves).

Who would believe that "The Worlds End" SB will sell out FAST along with "Kick-Ass 2" SB? While other steelbooks releases that have been OOP for some time now like "Super 8" HMV or "Roger Rabbit" Zavvi for avarage prices of £40-50 while those previous 2 mentioned go above.

This goes beyond reason

iv noticed quite a few of these 100th an steelbooks going up in value, i paid £6 for pitch black new from play.com and its now fetching alot more than that! and kick ass was only 9.99 and thats also gone up!

Correct. Been the trend in the past few months. I am sure the elite crowd wouldn't agree with that.

Even now there are few copy in the classifieds listed for 65% of the going rate with no takers. Looks like eBay is the place to sell.

Mind you ebay is weird at times, you see auctions going for like £55 more than a buy it now price on a item basically just like it.

I've nailed few auctions for 1 or even a trilogy of Steels in half their price w/ shipping. eBay is strange and I'm not afraid seeing some crazy prices that ppl are asking for them.
