If so this would make the second time in the last 3 months that I've pre-ordered from Zavvi as soon as the pre-orders went live and they've cancelled my order. For their sake I hope they don't cancel it, as I will cancel the other 10 or so pre-orders I have with them and will never purchase from them again. <rant_over>

I got the same letter from zavvi. i guess the original release date was today, but they changed it to Sept 23.

I've gotten these e-mails before..seems to not just be caused by cancellations but also by change in release dates, so I will stay tuned...

I hope it's true. I got this email for Aladdin steel that was canceld on me even though I preorderd with in an hour of it going live. Then zavvi go's and re sells hundreds of Aladdin steels on amazon for more money weeks later

Do not receive this message, given my pre-order for September 23.

I think Zavvi placed on pre-sale long before the launch, the staff bought it and after seeing a lot of releases in recent months, many have cancellations of orders, leaving to buy later.
Zavvi should be concerned with the returns is due to the cut on the spine of the Jungle Book and Rambo, several colleagues are returning their purchases for this reason.

The email is sent because Zavvi originally listed this for release on August 12th. It was then moved to September in line with the amaray version. Now the release date has passed, Zavvi's system thinks that the orders have not been sent when they should have been and so automated emails are sent. It happens every time the release date is moved back on a pre-order. It's absolutely nothing to worry about and has no impact on your order.

I'm still loving the front artwork but as it has already been used before for the trilogy boxset I would have liked to see a new image such as the DVD & Blu-Ray release which I think is stunning.

Hopefully we can get something similar on the backart. I just hope it doesn't follow the same path as The Jungle Book and continue the background. For me that would be the worst outcome.

^ Thanks, Jimmy. That cover art has much more going on than the steelbook. I have time to cancel the steel, but it's reportedly unavailable at Zavvi, so now I have to deal with the sold-out factor making it more desirable to me. It shouldn't be that way. I don't know if I can throw the Zavvi steelbook back in the water, though. Decisions, decisions.

I suppose that I could only regret not getting the steel, so for a Disney, I don't mind the intentional double-dip too much. I've already done it on collectibles for Beauty & the Beast, Brave (3x), A Bug's Life, Cars 1 & 2, Cinderella, Finding Nemo (3x), The Lion King (3x), Monsters, Inc. (3x with blufans), Ratatouille (3x), Snow White, Toy Story 1 & 2, and Up (4x with blufans).

After carefully analyzing the situation and my prior buying decisions, I've talked myself into ordering both.
WAIT A MINUTE. Neither of these has the 3D disc?

I kept getting these for when I ordered the limited edition digibook of Schindler's List from Zavvi, until eventually, they sent me a mail saying that they were cancelling my order as that edition of Schindler's List was sold out.

I hope that this is not going to happen here.
