Same here. I have no idea why this is so inferior to FAC. Both are nice editions with different extras. Booklets are great but dont always define a better edition. Just made the FAC gb and will be in for this and Zeta as I really like Matt Damons performance

I think it's nice Kimchidvd and HDzeta offers The Martian, since a lot of people missed FAC edition, but I still feel kimchi is a bit uninspiring with many of these late releases. When thinking about the best value for your money, it's FAC Martian as it comes with lenticular, 32page booklet, 6 character cards, casting art poster card, 16page Ares Mission Guide, pretty complete package I'd say.

Wow how many bells and whistles versions of this film are they going to do?

Will stick with the FAC version

The main problem I see is that the merits of one release become the detriment of the other. There is no reason why each cannot be considered worthy on its own. I buy from both so often enjoy each release on its own merits. I mostly appreciate the fact that FAC editions have a lot put into them and as a result delays are natural. For Kimchi, I really like the fact that they can stick to schedule with their releases. The booklets are missing but often, the end product is top notch. Enjoy the FAC for all the extras, but other retailers dont have to match that. Sometimes the beauty is in the simplicity of the product and not how complex and extras included.

Thanks for the tag @Mickle_89! The lenti looks decent but the FAC does have the better extras.
meanwhile it think kimchi is the smaller brother of FA... copy the same stuff but not that good but higher price
they should keep focusing on their exclusive line..
The Kimchi release is actually the same price as the FAC now they have raised there prices. You did used to get more extras with kimchi releases before though.

I think Kimchidvd is this mistaken as the proliferation of titles.
Here we discuss both the film and the packaging of the film, it is clear that this movie may like more or less, but what is indisputable that if we compare this package with the FAC, as there is no color.
We can argue whether or not a movie like, but what you can not argue is this package and is poor. If many titles will bring down the quality of Kimchidvd, it should consider whether it is worthwhile.
To me as a collector few more movies take out better, but has the quality that has always had Kimchidvd.
I prefer scoring less titles but with better quality (I do not mean the movie, you can like it or not, I mean your package)

does anyone ever look longer than a few seconds at the artcards and booklets that are included in some releases ? i dont and i would much prefer if they stopped adding this unnecessary stuff and keep their releases nice and slim
Kinda agree with you. Half the people keep the whole thing sealed. And I bet quite a few just look at them once. Personally I only look at the booklet and end up ignoring pretty much everything else ( unless of course there is a pic of some hot babe on the postcards and artcards):rofl: I would much rather they included things like coins, key chains, dogtags and other souvenirs. Just my 2 cents.

It would have been worth it only with a WEA Artwork ! Can't believe they passed on this opportunity like they did with Whiplash... The FAC used the WWA and it was a lovely package but Kimchi was able to offer a product worthy of collecting no matter what other release out there, with their awesome Scanavo Fullslip and their Steelbook WEA Fullslips. Big fail IMO, like I said this look like a recycled products du to using same artworks here and there from FAC and HDzeta.

@hatredhorror and @StifflersDad Yes some of Us collectors look at those bonus items more than 1 time and few seconds. If you are Unhappy with all the Bonus items you don't have to look at them. That is what collecting Fullslip packages is, its not just the fullslips but the extras that makes us feel like we spend our money wisely, without those Bonus items it feels like we are getting something cheap. I speak for myself but I am sure many feels this way, but the quality and amount of Bonus items are important in collecting those Fullslip releases. And they make us enjoy the release even more.

If you are so careless on those Bonus Items, why collect Fullslip releases ? why not collect simply the bare steelbook and let others be happy with their bonus item.

Kimchi releases are now uninspiring because they refuse to cram their steelbooks full of worthless trinkets? All those extra photo cards, post cards, art cards, “special cards” (whatever that is) are all rubbish in my opinion. Im sure everyone here is super excited to receive their awesome mission guide. Give me a nice lenticular slip cover over a lenticular magnet and a bunch of extra junk any day of the week.
