Here us a slight guide to the way I glossed mine ok here's what I used

A gravity fed spray gun

Then I used some accelerator and clear coat which I use when I spray cars also added is a slight but if thinners I think it's 2 to 1

The steels are wiped over with cleaners I get rid of grime and oil that fingers can lea e and any oils

Then I spray it in a booth which is heated and has ventilation AND IS HEATED KNOWN AS AN OVEN
Basically it what I use to spray car bits

Then spray and leave them to harden at least a day and this will be hard enough to polish to

OH I FORGOTTO ADD A PICTURE OF THE HARDENER AND THE FACT I GET ALL KITTED UP LIKE WALTER WHITE FROM BREAKING BAD ....

WELL A BREATHING MASK AND OVERALLS AS THIS STUFF ISNT GOOD FOR BREATHING IN A CONFINED SPACE

Edited for trading

Awesome job fellas.

After experimenting, I can confidently say that Halfords Clear Gloss Lacquer is way better than the Rustoleum. Period.

Sunshine and Britain don't go hand in hand I am afraid.:hilarious:

Pacific Rim Futureshop - Custom Glossed

Note: I have to admit that the finish is amongst the worst but after glossing it looks better (at least marginally) than the Amazon JP Steelbook. I am sure the Amazon JP Steelbook will look even better after glossing.

We had the low gloss finish, high gloss finish and now... howiesteed you established a new concept of glossing... mirror gloss!
You can take a steelbook to brush your hair, clean your teeth... :hilarious:

If people were ever wondering what the difference in some pictures are here is a metal steel that has a metallic finish which I reckon is the least forgiving . By that I mean there is a difference but not as much as the base matte colours you can tell the depth in colour between the two . But the beauty is when it's in hand it feels better . Well I think so whether others agree I'm not sure but here's a side side comparison
