So, we have the "Fake" and "Steelbook Price Drop" thread, but we don't yet have the thread where you post listings with "crazy" prices for Steelbooks. If you see any, post them here and have fun debating. As per forum rules, please remain respectful with each other-one person's "high price", could be another's "deal of a lifetime" score. Enjoy! :scat:

Please keep discussion to Ebay and other retailers, not private sellers.

Those ebay prices on the auctions dont reflect what the going rate is. It is actually higher as there have been alot more BIN for much more. $175-$200 is about the going rate on the 2ndary market for the lenticular.

The last auction was a bad one to begin with. He doesnt take paypal for one. He also uses generic photos for his listings.

I would buy all I could get at $138.

???
Auctions absolutely tell the harsh truth of an items value, be it good or be it bad. A week or two after these hit the ground will soon show what people are prepared to pay to own one. Amongst any average, there will be the odd bargain, as well as the odd excess.

If you're emotionally attached to an item in some way, then of course monetary value is a different matter.

Here are some more. Ebay is not the only marketplace for these. The last one the guy had little feedback.

Auctions are not the absolute truth. If that was the case then every corporation in the world would be bankrupt.

Auctions have too many variables at play. Set price listings that sell are the absolute truth in any marketplace other than the stock market.

Sorry for going off topic. Go ahead an put this in the ebay thread if need be.

Can't believe these are still listed - when I list one someone reports me within hours !!!

Tell me about it[emoji35]... There's also a seller called Rips-786 clearly breaking the rules constantly and not even registered as a business seller. eBay needs to step up and treat their customers equally.

This is what I think ebay should do. 30 days from the start of the auction if someone buys one that item must be shipped before the end of the 30 days from the start and they automatically get penalized if they don't do so. Not very hard for them to implement.

It`s against the ebay rules but he clearly tells the date the title will be released and that you have to pay now. Everbody can decide for himself to buy from him.
Where is the problem for you?

It`s more annoying for me that here in trade/sell-thread lot of steels are sold for extremely high prices while the same item is still available in shops for their standard price. Or limited items are sold here for sky high prices directly after release.
This is bugging more.
