So, we have the "Fake" and "Steelbook Price Drop" thread, but we don't yet have the thread where you post listings with "crazy" prices for Steelbooks. If you see any, post them here and have fun debating. As per forum rules, please remain respectful with each other-one person's "high price", could be another's "deal of a lifetime" score. Enjoy! :scat:

Please keep discussion to Ebay and other retailers, not private sellers.

Hey Biscuit-you'd be surprised to see what people pay for bogus Steelbooks-we've seen some shocking examples over the last few months. People get ripped off with all kinds of 'doctored' and 'unofficial' releases. However, some listings have been pulled, but folks trying to help newbie or less experienced collectors have some recourse in contacting Ebay. Hopefully everyone that set out to get the 'official' item, then realized the one they received was BS takes appropriate action. And some people don't even care that it's not the right one *big eyeroll*

No technically a 'WOW, that's an expensive steelbook', but just seen this, and the postage alone is £400, im sure its a good deal one you break it down, but WOW what an outlay..lol..

that bundle as been on ebay for ages he had it a buy it now for a few thousand pound lol i guess he had to bite the bullet and hope for the best as a auction :hilarious:

I love bundle deals! I wonder if the seller does local pick up?

LOL..:hilarious: - Would you go via Plane or car to Greece...I don't think i would trust the baggage handlers at heathrow with 1 steelbook in my bags, let alone 150+..and don't forget Greece's baggage handler have had there wages cut and are heavily taxed, they must let out the aggression some how..:ohno:

I couldn't help but look, just been on to Google maps and from London to Peiraeus, Greece. It's 1,874 miles, that's via Italy then boat.
Takes 1 day and 12 hours solid, that's 141.54 liters of diesel (based on my 1.9TDI A4 with a rough average of 57 mpg) costing £192.49 (based on diesel costing 136p a litre, Sainsburys, Alperton if anyone's interested..lol)
Oh yeah, then double it on the return...lol...
Maby £400 shipping isn't so bad after all...:hilarious::hilarious:

I've got way too much time on my hands...:D:rolleyes:

LOL, This I how I could mix business with pleasure...This is what I was thinking. Day one flight to Athens, see the seller. The uber rare stuff, carry on, the rest shipping. Then down to the beach followed by dinner and a couple of drinks...blah blah. Next day back to London. All for £200 maybe.

WAYYYYYY too much!!!! :hilarious:

Careful, sellers says it will come 'bubble wrapped', but doesn't mention a box. If someone here is buying, check with them, before you get an expensive piece of scrap metal in the mail...

LOL, he wants to get rid of it at the same price he paid for it, also who ever won those 150 steelz, it's gonna take him 2-3 days just to check the condition of the steelz. LOL

Just thinkin... Maybe we could get Wreck to order 3000 empty Iron Man cases from one of his contacts. Add an Iron Man disc and sell opened. Lets see - 3000 x $400.00 = $1.2 mil. EEK! I'm in!:D

Ok, Wreck has the empty cases. You have the 3000 discs? *cough* 6000, you forgot the 2-disc. ^^

OMG just lost an auction of first release of John Rambo (+ sticker) by €2 . But now I think of it, glad I get to keep my €200 for future purchases :oohyeah:
