So, we have the "Fake" and "Steelbook Price Drop" thread, but we don't yet have the thread where you post listings with "crazy" prices for Steelbooks. If you see any, post them here and have fun debating. As per forum rules, please remain respectful with each other-one person's "high price", could be another's "deal of a lifetime" score. Enjoy! :scat:

Please keep discussion to Ebay and other retailers, not private sellers.

I offered him $100 with shipping included, but he declined. Do you think I should make a second offer of $100 without shipping?

I offered the price on the sticker plus shipping plus 200% tip and he has not responded. :hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:

you never know...he might get tired of seeing the offer that maybe he slip in pressing the "ACCEPT" button instead of the "REJECT" button. One of us might get lucky LOL

That's what I have been hoping for. I'm at $45 dollars right now. Going up $5 each time. :D

I offered him a 900% markup of the original price. He declined. I figured anyone is a fool for not accepting a markup like that.

he's just fishing, hoping that one day he catch a big white shark :)

If I was a billionaire, then I'll tell my maid to buy it for me and pick him up in my jet to personally deliver it to me :hilarious:

Hi all-please keep the discussion on various auctions you see at prices that are outrageous. Please do not contribute to ongoing bashing and discussion of the same member's auctions and prices. This is one of our resource threads to discuss skyrocketing prices, so lets keep it relevant, please. Thanks!

I am lost who is getting bashed ?

Steelbook-note my inclusion of 'discussion and bashing'. Various times since this thread has existed, the thread goes on for several pages about the same members' listings (numerous Ebayers have been mentioned). A bunch of OT posts pertaining to the same member make the thread irrelevant, so posts get deleted. Thanks.

Lol that guy has great bargains for all his other items! :hilarious:

Still don't understand how people can have pre-orders for sale on ebay. Its against my pricipals. I wait until I have it in hand and then snap a photo and make a listing. If I don't have it I don't list it.

What happens if you sell pre-orders and have it listed as mint and your entire order comes in dented and its OOP with no way to get returns?

I'm thinking of putting my Iron Man on eBay and ask for $1500 or best offer, just for the fun of it :D

I know, the listing is going to cost a few bucks but I'm sure it's going to be worth it :joy:

i think he's hoping someone is stupid enough to buy one

I should undercut him. I will go $100!!! :hilarious:

Its ok though. He is just fishing. We all do it.

No hard feelings slim. Its all in good spirit.

then he would raise your raise EEK!

but i agree with you on the point no one should ever sell something they don't physically have.

maybe i should put up a per-order for a 2014 Lamborghini and see if anyone will buy :hilarious:

There are 1000's of pre-orders on Ebay every-day...companies do it, individuals do it...it's risky, but not against Ebay policy (see here http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/pre-sale.html). Not a game for risk averse people for sure, but those sellers that end up not sending what is promised will show a punishment in their feedback given the various criteria that buyers use to rate them, and an increasingly strict policy that often favors the buyer, not the seller.
