Yes. People are dumb and shop on ebay instead of doing research. I've noticed some lego sets that I was interested in on ebay selling for 20-30$(sometimes more) than the listed price on Lego.com and it was still in stock at the .com..

I respectfully disagree as your statement is too open ended. Nowadays I shop on eBay as I find it to be be cheaper. Of course you need to be on the alert, patient and have a little bit of luck.

It's age old story mate. Happens all the time with limited steels. As frustrating as it is don't get too worked up about it. You'll only go grey prematurely.
