So, we have the "Fake" and "Steelbook Price Drop" thread, but we don't yet have the thread where you post listings with "crazy" prices for Steelbooks. If you see any, post them here and have fun debating. As per forum rules, please remain respectful with each other-one person's "high price", could be another's "deal of a lifetime" score. Enjoy! :scat:

Please keep discussion to Ebay and other retailers, not private sellers.

That's very high for the Thai version. Probably the least desired out of the 4 Asian ones with the same artwork.

I think I sold mine for around £50.

I think that there are not many sealed and mint copies of the older IMs for sale these days. I mean IM FS and IM2 Asian. And supply can only get less and less unless there is a reprint. Even then, the final price of IM2 Thai surprised me.

I think the price of I.M.2 Asia is going to keep on rising to grail prices in the next year or so. It is surprising that the Japan G1 version gets so much while the G2 version gets a fraction. I think the Korean and TW version of it eventually will surpass it in price as its better in every way. Its a G2 VS a G1 with the same EXACT artwork.

It looks like one of those that were being sold in Singapore. The Spore one looks the same as the Jpn one except that it does not have the Jpn slip in front. The J card at the back is in Japanese, whether sold in Jpn or Singapore. I had one of those but sold on eBay 9 months ago. Brisk bidding. Finally sold at US$110.... So, I am not surprised that it is US$160+ now.

More than IM2 Jpn? EEK! This seems to be what IM2 Jpn is going for now....

I think someone won a sweet deal. In the end it comes down to $50.58 a steelbook. That's not bad when compared to what these titles go for individually. I was actually close to winning.

That's partly true, mate, but these are BB versions, not FS versions. If they were the latter, this is (IMO) the deal of the year, and I would have chased it up even beyond $1,000. As BB versions, the buyer probably had a 10-15% discount, which is fair given that he bought a bundle.
