It probably would have cost them more to manufacture to have a nice white finish.
Does Zavvi actually decide the finish on their 'exclusive' steelbook releases or is it down to the studio (StudioCanal, WBros, Universal etc..)

It doesn't look good in silver. This happens a lot with mock up pics though, whenever they are white you have to be careful as the steelbook usually turns out to be silver.

I'm guessing its a mixture of both but I would have thought the Studio would get the final say on what the exact finish is.

That is ghastly. A blank steelbook with a small amount of black for the top 2 3rds of the whole steelbook is ridiculous.

The picture clearly shows white with some wear and tear in random places - it does not show anywhere a brushed steel effect so this is totally misleading.
