Saw this last weekend, a really wonderful movie. A times, it managed to create some kind of eerie Twin Peaks-like atmosphere.
Also liked the steelbook, despite it being non-cream.

I thought that too...perhaps it was Mike Patton's score and the wood setting? Obviously it swapped surrealism for more social realism but I got the Twin Peaks feeling earlier in the year when hearing the soundtrack in full.

Yes, the soundtrack is really great and you can never go wrong with a wood setting . Didn't know that Mike Patton did the soundtrack until I saw it in the credits. Was a nice surprise, as I already liked the music from watching the trailer.

Especially the first third was very Twin Peaks-like.

Bought this as a blind buy based on the crits, but I was pretty disappointed after seeing it. Very strong first act, but the momentum petered out by mid-way through and by the third act it just felt contrived and a bit trite. Great performances all round though, and a nice score.

Watched this the other night on my Insignia player by using the code that still works like a charm (though it always seems to take me a few tries to get that extra menu to pop up)

Anyways, decent film. I thought the 2nd half really dragged, to the point where I struggled to stay awake several times. Gripping at first, but quickly lost me. The steelbook is pretty badass though.

Your wish is my command. When I first received it, I thought it was part of the artwork, but when I re-looked, I sussed it was a really deep scratch, but under the seal.

third act could be viewed from a 'fate' point of view, ie, being given the chance to right the wrongs of the past, but that's just my opinion........
