Assuming / hoping it will be of lesser quality at least :ugh:

So the studios will even drip feed lies. 'It will have different art than the Play.com version...'. Yeah right, good one!

How hard is it to get different art rather than completely copying the efforts of other retailers and screwing over the collectors?

I really hope that isn't the final artwork

To be fair zone, that report was put out back in July before any one knew how this artwork selected by Play and the studio would be received. I guess now that they have seen its sales performance, it must be hard for them to go with an unproven artwork :hilarious:

I live in hope that it isn't of the same premium finish as the Play one. I suppose with re-releases being the new releases that I shouldn't be the least bit surprised at this news. It just doesn't sit right with me though :(

My gut feeling is that this will be the same scenario as The Terminator steelbook - Play's got the premium finish, embossing/debossing, inside art, HDN voting :) while the rest of the world (maybe except for Japan) got the "sub-par" version.

I really did not expect the same artwork for this. Will be very dissapointed if this does in fact receive the same treatment as Play. The term 'exclusive' is becoming a very loose term more and more.

Agree with that, this better have no debossing or inside artwork, then it'll be as big a waste of time as the German Terminator.

It's possible it that it could be identical to the Play exclusive because of the identical design. When comparing the Terminator, the art was completely different.

exclusive...yes perhaps but is it Play say how long is this exclusivity?
neither what countries (what is stipulated by contract, exclusive to UK)?

Gotta admit that does take the piss a little if I'm being honest considering it was meant to be a Play.com exclusive

As long as Plays is the only one with front and back debossing it will always be considered rare.;)

hate to be the master of doom but not at any point did anyone with contacts at play.com say that Play had exclusive premium touches on it

Terminator did because we all know we chose the inside art work and Wreck confirmed the Premuim finish

nothing said for The Raid. just a play.com exclusive to the United Kingdom

if you look at the packaging for The Raid ( i don't own it personally, only seen pictures) There isn't any studio logos to be found. they can easily be used worldwide
