How you holding up Ninjas ?

What are you doing to pass the time if you're staying in doors ? I know some places are obviously much worse than others ... Wishing you all the best.

Any one spending time organizing your collection etc. ?

Have a habit of rewatching movies again and again whenever any video or audio equipment gets updated. Everything seems to be better whenever an update occurs so I have to rewatch my favorite movies again hahaha.
But it is a better experience so it's always worth it. It never gets old.

P.S.
I did have steelbooks all over the coffee table that isn't there any more. Yes! Organization is a must from time to time.

Just watching movies and catching up on some Netflix bits. a lot of FaceTime too with mates etc

Other than that I’m helping my mum out a lot with shopping and stuff as she has a compromised immune system so we’re just being really careful

Hope everyone stays safe.... and clean.

And even if you think you aren’t affected and or/can handle the virus then think of the others around you who you can pass it onto who aren’t as fortunate

Taking care of my father who has COPD and is in Hospice and in a medical bed in our living room. It's a full time job to take care of all his needs. As of yesterday we think he may now have pneumonia which is usually what takes COPD patients in the end. It's hard to deal with, and very emotional for me. Also taking care of my mother when she's feeling too ill to help out with my father. I won't go into more of that though.

I've also been having breathing issues, so bad I can't walk to the end of the driveway to check the mail without having to stop a couple of times to catch my breath. Fever too, and a dry cough which are all symptoms of this virus crap. Because there's not enough tests to go around they say to just self quarantine and that's about all I can do at this point. :(

I've been working a lot on my painting and dioramas for my miniatures, fun, fun, fun! I love it. It's the best thing in the world for me aside from my movies and steelbooks.

Watch movies, streaming, Netflix, YouTube, whatever to pass the time.

Luckily we stocked up on non perishables and fruits, vegetables, and anything else we could think of before all that hoarding started. So we beat the crowds pretty much. Unfortunately I don't think this virus is going away anytime soon so it really doesn't matter how much we all stock up, it won't be enough to last but then it could all just blow over just all of a sudden-like.

Do different stuff around the house that I've put off as I was always too busy to get around to it. Now I have a lot of free time to do some repairs and handyman kind of stuff. Anything that can pass the time I pretty much do around the house.

Movies/Netflix/Amazon Prime as well as fairly regular trips looking for things I decide I could use. Today I decided I could use ingredients for Waffles...and decided to pick up Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace. Might get spectre at some point, but looks like BB is only doing pickups now and I’m not really confident in them picking the best copy...also not sure that I really liked that movie. I already had Skyfall, which was brilliant as I recall I(but haven’t seen it since it was in theaters).

Kinda wish they’d stop Steel releases until they reopen...did I mention I’d on’t trust them to pick out a decent copy ;)

Its crazy what's happening around the world was not long ago the world was wishing everyone a happy new year then this.
I folks live overseas and as does my wife's and its very worrying times they all have conditions that if they got this virus it could kill them.
Im in australia and some people are not taking it serious and things have been slow to happen. Yes numbers are low but they slowly creep up.
So who knows whats ahead, they dont even want to close schools yet only ones that are affected.
There is not any lockdown yet with us but im sure if will come. But im not going about my day like i normally do.
I cant believe how the aud has dropped so much to other currency it hurts and some places are still sending, possibly other items are delayed put back back date wise. But i did have some items arrive which where already almost here so glad these arrived. It could be held up somewhere as things get worse.
But anything i do fancy at this time might need to wait as aud is just so poor right now.

I did have an item from france i been after and finally found one with option of bid or best offer tried my luck and made offer but was counter offered a much higher price. Had the exchange not been as bad i maybe would have bite.
So tried my luck and watched auction till end and great i won only bidder and good price. I was happy. It was less the digipack but i wanted the item more.
And what does the seller do its listed as 30 euro for shipping and he invoiced me 100 euro just for shipping. What a scammer and how annoying i finally find one but guy obviously wants more.
Obviously my winning bid was not enough and he thought he made up the rest with adding 75 euro to the shipping.
I questioned if he was sending it express at this cost as and he canceled the auction.
Just hate it when you get people like this hopefully i find another one day.

If we do get to a point of a lockdown im good for movies to watch and streaming and i could always play some games on xbox if i get fed up of movies as i barely do gaming these days now.
Or play with kids in garden.
I could even mess around with the collection etc. And i have a few jobs around the house i can do.

I just happened to watch a movie i owned from 2010 called Contagion its just reminds you with what's going on now.
Its crazy someone had a book and it said this was going to happen i n 2020 it be here and go as quick as it came and just disappear for 10 yrs and comes back. Obviously its here but not sure about the rest of what was said.
Even bill gates warned us back in 2015.

Anyway keep safe ninjs who would have known the world be like this a few months back.

Been a strange couple of weeks for us. :wow:

We found out to our surprise that my better half was expecting our third baby then within a few days the complications hit for her, nothing to do with the virus thankfully.

She was admitted straight away and at that point, the situation here didn't seem that bad apart from taking time off work to go back and forth to the hospital and deal with the kids we were trying to carry on as normal as we could. Popped through to a little gaming market with the kids which they loved but it seemed to be the start of the next week when I started to see a difference at the hospital.

Thankfully my missus came home yesterday to my children's delight as they haven't been able to go up at all, so by the time she came home it had nearly been 2 weeks since they last saw her.

Just been picking up as many flicks for the kids that I can at this point   and the baby's first scan is this coming Wednesday so it will be another trip to the hospital but apart from that, we will be staying indoors all that we can.

Hoping you all stay safe

Hi buddy. What's that item from France you're after? If you can share with us here, maybe someone here may have one to let go.

I still go outside, because I'm a rebel without a cause :naughty:

fun aside... I still go to work ...cant do home office, even as an office management assistant. the company I work for is such a dump ...even the neanderthals had a better equipment.
so nothing has changed.

I think I'd buy new storage cupboards and organizing my collection.

Hi

Hope you are all okay

I decided to start going through my collection box by box and playing stuff I haven’t played including... shock horror dvd.s that have not yet had a bluray release.......

As I am caring for my elderly parents at the moment I have started them on the bond bluray collection in chronological order. Hopefully that will pass the time.

If it goes on longer than that will start Disney movie animation, again in chronological order.

Have a couple of TASCAN books which I’ve always wanted to find the time and sit and read so will start with those.

Really missing going to the cinema.......

Stay safe everyone

Still going to work, still ordering steels, still watching movies.

NOT stockpiling. There is no need to in the UK.
Even if everybody else does there is still no need to at this stage. It's mass panic of selfishness for no reason. Stores are still getting regular deliveries, you just have to be a bit savvy around picking up goods at the right times before it all disappears again. Restocks will continue.

Other people make this experience worse than it needs to be. The elderly and the sick are who are really important here and sure, nobody wants this virus, but it's out there now so we just have to do our best and follow the guidelines.

We all just need to be sensible (which obviously lots aren't doing) and just ride this thing out.

Spidey Filmarena Maniacs is on its way, so there's a plus.

Uni has been closed down for over a week, and I have mental health problems that are making it very hard to concentrate on working from home so just been playing Nioh 2 hoping that uni will be nice and tell us we can progress  .

At the moment they're saying that our course can't do online exams and they still want us to come in for exams in May even though we might not have had any face to face teaching in that time which is ridiculous. Lots of people have traveled home to be with family and might not be able to fly back, personally I have to travel over on a ferry with up to ~250 people each day which is not a good idea.

There's talks of the Spanish government restricting our movement a little more starting tomorrow or Tuesday. We'll go from state of alert/emergency to state of exception, which means the army will take the streets and it'll be harder to go grocery/tobacco/and most importantly toilet paper shopping.
Spain is doing quite well in the coronalympics. In number of cases we've just lost third place overnight to the USA... damn!! We're at approx. 25500. And almost 1400 deaths, that's no joke. But wait...
Let's put those figures into perspective... in the 2017-2018 (regular) flu season there were 800.000 cases in Spain alone, 52.000 of those needing hospital care, and it claimed the life of 15.000 Spaniards. There was no flu scare, no state of emergency, nothing. Business as usual.

So it's clear to me this corona pandemic is pretty weak as far as pandemics go, however it's important for the elite that we all live in fear around the globe so it's easier to keep us in line for some other more sinister reason.

I'm now training for tomorrow's outing. I need to restock my toilet paper supply.

I'll be ready. Everything TWD has taught me over the years will soon pay off.

I have been lot more busy at work than usual
Where I work is part of the food distribution and pharmaceutical products transport network

It's been extremenly busy for the truck drivers and staff that load the trucks they are doing a brilliant job under the presure they now have with the new health and safety restrictions put in place

A lot of businness and retailers have already closed with more deciding to close in coming days weeks as in business that are not part of the essential services
Schools/Universities have been closed since March 12th and Pubs have been closed 7 days ago now in Rep of Ireland
Majority of cinemas and entertainment venues closed a week ago

Public Transport is till operating but has been some varied cancellations on some services mostly busy routes that are not servicing locations with essential services

Travel to work is lot quicker now with less traffic on the roads

There was a lot of panic buying in supermarkets in past 2 weeks in Rep of Ireland but seams to have reduced in past few days and I hope that stays that way

Food Supply Chain will continue to operate there is no need to panic buy in Supermarkets

This virus affects all ages and trying to keep safe is more important
Socal Distancing is very important and washing your hands regulary a few times each day

I have my large film collection at home to watch and still have at the moment a lot of pre orders but may cancel a lot of these if circustances change

Hope all are keeping well and we all can get back to normal life soon

Had my share of bad seller and there’s nothing eBay can or will do when cancel the auction or sales

Only thing is to leave suitable review to warn others

We usually do all our grocery shopping by way of curb-side where you just order online, get to the store and text a code to the store and they bring your groceries out to you and put them in your vehicle for you. Well unfortunately we forgot to add a couple of New York strip steaks to our order so I decided to drudge into the grocery store a pick a couple up. Fat chance there, the meat section was completely cleaned out from all the hoarders...ridiculous how bad it is. In fact most of the store was cleared out, I just got a couple of things and left but I took some pictures while I was there.

I couldn't figure out why folks were hoarding toilet paper so bad so I found one guys theory about it on the net via Intelligencer.
An Economist Has Offered a Theory of Toilet Paper Hoarding
Empty store shelves are one of the most visible signs of the panic surrounding the rapidly advancing coronavirus pandemic and few shelves are emptying as quickly as those that typically hold toilet paper.

The run on TP around the country has led some stores to limit purchases, resulted in egregious cases of price gouging, and inspired an endless stream of memes.

But for all of those worried about where they’ll get their next Charmin fix or considering an experiment with bidets, the economist Jim Luke explains on his blog that empty toilet paper shelves are not a sign that we’re running out. Nor is it something that we need a clinical psychologist to explain.

The reason toilet paper shelves are empty, Luke writes, is that it’s typically a product with a very predictable buying pattern. Stores usually stock two or three days worth of inventory. Customers usually shop for toilet paper every two weeks or so, buying enough to keep them supplied until their next run to the big box store.

But the COVID-19 outbreak and the calls for social distancing that followed upended that steady flow of buying and restocking. People started buying more toilet paper, a “buffer stock” as Luke calls it, after they were told to prepare for more time at home. That resulted in a “temporary shock to a stable supply chain.”

Buying a buffer stock is only a temporary increase in demand. Once you have your buffer, you go back to buying just enough to match usage, keeping the buffer stock in place. You might think that having households add some buffer stock shouldn’t be a big deal, but it was — because that’s how fast TP inventory turns over.

Worries about continued hoarding of toilet paper are unfounded, Luke writes, because of the physical limitations of holding hundreds of rolls of Angel Soft. Toilet paper, as anyone who’s purchased a 30-pack of Kirkland Signature two-ply knows, takes up a lot of space. Plus, once the current run ends and shelves are once again fully stocked, hoarded supplies of TP will have little value.

And so, Luke concludes, no one should be worried about the toilet paper supply rebounding and people should certainly not resort to wiping with other non-flushable paper products. Unless they want to provide an economic stimulus to plumbers.
