Bay takes credit for building actor's careers
Megan Fox slammed "Transformers" director Michael Bay for focusing more on special effects than acting, but he doesn't mind.
"Well, that's Megan Fox for you," Bay tell the Wall Street Journal. "She says some very ridiculous things because she's 23 years old and she still has a lot of growing to do.
"You roll your eyes when you see statements like that and think, 'Okay Megan, you can do whatever you want. I got it,'" he goes on.
Fox told Entertainment Weekly: "I mean, I can't s--- on this movie because it did give me a career and open all these doors for me. But I don't want to blow smoke up people's a--. People are well aware that this is not a movie about acting."
Bay says he "100 percent disagrees" with Fox.
"Nick Cage wasn't a big actor when I cast him, nor was Ben Affleck before I put him in 'Armageddon.' Shia LaBeouf wasn't a big movie star before he did 'Transformers' -- and then he exploded. Not to mention Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, from 'Bad Boys'," he points out.

Bay thinks Fox could be a little more grateful, though.
"Nobody in the world knew about Megan Fox until I found her and put her in Transformers," he says. "I like to think that I've had some luck in building actors' careers with my films."

i laughed when i read this article. while i agree, fox needs to shut her mouth because we haven't even seen if she
can act (and she does owe her career to bay...so far), i can't believe the stuff bay is implying when he goes off about building actor's careers. lets go over the people he gives himself credit for building:
nicholas cage: hes talking about The Rock. other than that movie nicholas cage is crap in everything else. yah, hes a big name, and so is paris hilton, doesn't mean he has talent.
ben affleck: hes wrong about this one. affleck was in good will hunting before armageddon, and that was the movie that made him big. you lose again mikey
shia labeouf: hes hardly a big name, most people probably dont even know his name other than 'that transformers dude' or 'that dude with the crazy name.' not to mention he is a terrible actor. go ahead bay, take credit for this one, cause its basically like getting the sportsmanship award they give to people who aren't good enough to be winners.
will smith: don't even joke around bay. smith had a career well before you cast him in bad boys, but even so, theres a very good argument that will smith didn't reach superstar status until after independence day and men in black. this is like obama's 1st grade teacher taking credit for his success. you may have been there early, but that doesn't mean you did much for smith's outcome.
martin lawrence: ah yes, the seductive career or mr martin lawrence, whos starred in huge hits such as blue streak, big momma's house (1 and 2), black knight, and wild hogs. the fact that bay wants to take credit for lawrence's career speaks volumes of the career bay has. which is to say, hes terrible.
i also love how bay tries to slam fox for basically being immature, but ironically acts just as immature back. real classy dude. you should just be humble and recognize that other than action, you don't hold too much trump, and revel in the fact that your latest jock of a movie is raking it in.
and i dare you to try and cast will smith or ben affleck in another one of your movies. im guessing they would politely ask you to jog on.
