Me too....cannot be compared to the original - that one is a classic and the 30 year gap between them makes it impossible to compare imho...

ah, remember that Carpenter's original was in fact a remake. a much superior remake though.

was love to see the original cut though. all the scenes in NYC that got cut out. all the stuff that got replaced with CGI. there is a video on youtube with all the original alien designs being filmed

I actually really enjoyed this prequel. The way that Carpenters version set up the whole mystery behind the Norwegian team was really intriguing. I thought it was really good, and the main girl i thought did a really good job. That slipcase looks pretty dope as well haha.
