We***8217;re certainly planning to continue doing all future seasons of The Walking Dead in steelbook with matching artwork ***8211; it looks likely season 4 will be out in September 2014 as it follows the same pattern as Game of Thrones (i.e. the new season hits DVD and Blu-Ray just before the new season starts).

We***8217;ve been told that the steelbooks will feature in the US Walking Dead magazine, so likely to be quite a bit of international interest for these.

The Entertainment Store is pleased to announce our latest exclusive steelbook releases: Seasons 1, 2 and 3 of The Walking Dead, AMC***8217;s Emmy Award winning TV series.

Each season features world exclusive artwork by Mark Simpson AKA Jock, who is responsible for some of best regarded comics and art of this generation, having worked on 2000AD, The Losers and Hellblazer amongst others as well as producing artwork for many major film studios, including the artwork for HDN Steelbook of the Year 2012 winner The Raid.

Even my gran hates jumbo's and she's dead, and steelbooks weren't even around when she was alive.

Can we get a poll going??? See who wants a jumbo and who wants a regular sized steelbook holding 4 discs with the fifth disc in a plastic sleeve or something like someone suggested???

I know it's a Viva Metal Box, but didn't Finding Nemo have slots for 5 discs?

[EDIT] It only has 4 slots, but it's 1 and 1 with a double sided insert. So maybe they could do 1 and 2 with a double sided insert?

Honestly. I think we're all just going to have to deal with it being a jumbo. End of. I personally think the bigger question is what kind of support this series will get for future seasons. I for one would be pissed if they just left it with 3 seasons and had no plans for 4 onwards.

The Hobbit Extended edition is 5 discs but seems to be a regular steelbook case.

If that's the case(see what I did there!) why can't this also be?

Season 3 is by far the best of the 3 seasons IMO so I'm not too bothered about it being jumbo. Would be nice to match the other 2 but I'm happy with it.

LOVE the artwork on it too, but not so much on the 1st and 2nd seasons. 1st season, his face looks weird. Just hope they're priced reasonably.

On reflection as this a TV show and my fav show at that I might make an exception to my no jumbo steel rule. After all I own BOB and The Pacific, granted they're tins not jumbo's but it would sit along side those pretty well I guess
