Part 1 took place betweens seasons, but it works as a stand alone.....but part 2 is more a stand alone movie.

I actually really like that front cover art. The ghostly mirrored faces with an X in the centre matches the tone of the films IMO.

I wasn't excited about the X Files movies. I expect the TV show isn't of sufficiently high quality fior a blu ray release.

Actually the series right from season 1 was filmed in 16:9 even though the first 4 seasons were post cropped to 4:3, they said there is enough in the films to present a 1080 bluray release of the entire series, I think it's getting released at the end of the year.

I'm just hoping they are redoing, some of the effects, not all of em, but some of the low end CG stuff.. Kinda like they did with TNG.

Cool. Have to wait to see if it's region free or not. I loved the series when I was in High School though I stopped watching in season 8 when it just got terrible. First movie was good. Second was not. Some even say it was homophobic (google it).

imagine that! that would be awesome and terrible at the same time, there are 9 seasons DB, around 1000 usa dollars if not more... but i'm with you!
