from seeing you pic from the spot gloss copy, Actually I am shocked at how amazing it looks. I had in my mind the picture of the Glossy Finish as we were supposed to get but if Blufans gets a Steel like this from Scanavo, with Matte Finish and same type of well done spot Gloss on your pictured copy (it stands out even more than the spot gloss of Edge Of Tomorrow Korea as it is on a Black Steel). I think this will end up turning out better than what we were expecting. Spot gloss on that Thor and the matte Black contrast is Insane ! WOW maybe this happened for a reason ! Your copy on that picture is nicer than a fully Glossy one, I still can't believe it. STUNNING !!!

It would still turn out to be a nice looking steelbook as Blufans always provide great quality stuff and this time to they wont dissapoint hopefully and since I have the first edition shown on the previous page if it has similar resemblance im not fussed at all...

@Actarus , thanks for the compliment but that is not my picture. I own the Thor SB, but I got that pic elsewhere because it illustrates my point about about spot gloss being excellent when done well. The play.com Ironman also uses spot gloss, and if I'm not mistaken, some people like that one.

They were, and still are, leaders in the genre of steelbooks. I still wish they would consider a new release, though, e.g.. complete Lord of the Rings and Hobbit mega box set.... how cool would that be?

The back art is killer. That alone makes it a must.

Unfortunately thats the only artwork disney would approve blufans put different artwork forward, new atwork but disney rejected them all, also we already have multiple steels of the hobbit and LOTR so if you want new releases those are not it.

That HMV Thor is so beautiful. If the Blufans is anything like that, that's more than fine for me. Besides, I don't have Thor 1 in my collection anyway...once I get the Blufans Thor, all I'll need is Incredible Hulk and I'll be good to go. Hopefully the Hulk that completes my collection is from Blufans! It would make sense for them to do Hulk along with IM2 and IM3 since they're doing the rest. And by the time those get done, they should be ready to make a Ultron release and Ant Man release!

Ha! I missed the HMV Thor 1, so I too have no issues regarding similarity of the front art! (Though, it is not the same exactly). This will be a special one.

Is everyone forgetting that the HMV Thor is also spot gloss and it is GORGEOUS! I'm fine with spot gloss on this as long as its done well, and on both sides.

Actually what I think everyone is forgetting is that with a Matte Finish and spot glossing it makes this Blufans release EVEN MORE of a rehash of the original

I think it's a bittersweet situation; ''Spot Gloss and Matte Finish'' + embossed title will create a gorgeous steel, better than if it would have been just Gloss(I guess it's a good thing that Scanavo screwed up as it actually would have been boring with no definition). And with The Twist Blufans is putting on it + the slip it will be an Excellent release. It will be worth It. I'm all over this release

Cos it's BLUFANS!!! There's no Thor 1 SB out there that's going for $60 shipped even that Zavvi release is fetching over $65 (I'll never pay that price by the way), so for this title having the original artwork @ a decent price, I'm all in. Did you see that excellent back artwork? (sure beats the original silly hammer image). Thanks again Blufans (hopefully not the same low quality as the IM lenti please... lol).

There we go, the blufans argument doesn't count for me. When they get the finish right, this will be a winner but you saw how the first batch was messed up, if the second round shows no improvement you cannot bring that argument.

That's why we are diffeent. We have what we like and what we don't. For me, the big hammer design behind the steel looks silly, but I do like the front design with Thor holding that hammer. I still stand by my comments on Blufans Thor. Regardless of what the end product is, I'm still gonna get it and I know it'll be nice. You're also gonna get a copy too Have an awesome rest of your week.

I just wish they offer lenti or full slip, I've zero interest in lenti's no matter how high quality or how much depth they have, they do nothing to me.

I hope the card quality is better than iron mans full slip too
