Awesome find bud! I managed to get the Cap steel for £8 a few months back in my CEX. It's great that the staff don't know what they have ;-)

got one of these in the first day it was released in CeX (I used to work there) I only I could see into the future and know the joys of collecting I now actively do

I know the staff keep them for themselves (those that are in the know) so its a rare find, nice one!

Anybody know what one of these goes for nowadays? Open and missing the J-card? Can't find any on the the 'Bay' (active or sold) to use as a guide.

One at the moment 'New & sealed' is up to GBP 106 (plus GBP 2.99 p&p) on the auction site with 20 hrs to go.
2 on Amazon 'New & sealed' for GBP 99 and 176 respectively.
At least the later Zavvi has not devalued this classic HMV beauty..

Blufans version is now outselling this HMV gem... Blufans is the boss, but I was happy to get the HMV version for $105 and it does have that HMV exclusive big oval sticker (a must for a minty sealed copy).

What an amazing find! I've been looking in my local CEXs been to about 3 - the only steelbook I could see was a Hobbit one. I can tell you from working in CEX when I was younger these are definitely being kept by staff! Which you can't blame for the minimal amount of money you get paid for working there. You need to take the perks where you can get them

I think the reason why HMV Thor has held its value is that when it first came out most were purchased by collectors and not resellers. Just the opposite with Blufans. Almost everybody has got an extra copy for sale. The trade forums are absolutely flooded with Blufans and Kimchi releases and so is ebay.

That is just so crazy good! I check Cex every day on my lunch break and I never see anything that good. Very rare that I see a steelbook even!

Not talking about second hand ... obviously... but in 'New & sealed' collector's condition.
We've seen several of this second hand talked about on this forum already and all bought from CEX so there's nothing new or surprising about your purchases.
