Warning alert!!

This is how my shipment from Amazon arrived. I paid for gift wrapping but I got a piece of paper put on the front with an elastic band wrapped around the steelbook! This must be a new type of gift wrapping.

The packing box was damaged, but it was very large. The steelbook was not shrinkwrapped to a cardboard base and was loose inside the box. Needless to say the steelbook was dented in one corner.

However, luckily this is still OOS! :naughty:

Gift-Wrapping is a service to send an item as a gift, and it is not a service to enhanced the packaging.
We are sorry, but we can't accommodate special packaging requests at this time. We've developed a software program that determines the "right-sized" packaging for any given item, based on that item's dimensions and weight. We make every attempt to make sure your order is packaged securely and efficiently.

That's a load of rubbish. I understand that the gift wrapping depends on the size. Not everything will fit in their standard gift packaging. But it should be packaged securely.

This wasn't. For us steelbook collectors the aim of the packaging is not to have it delivered in a kawaii gift set, but to have it securely held in place to prevent movement so it won't get bashed around. And a cardboard box to prevent external impact damaging the steebook.

Bingo!!!

Not only that, it should be wrapped in gift paper. I mean, that's what gift wrapping is, after all. Just attaching a card with an elastic band is the lamest 'gift wrapping' I've ever seen!

Maybe they wanted to match with the lamest steelbook packing ever seen :hilarious:

Seems like these are possibly still a fairly small release based on the amount of people still receiving cancellation emails even while other people cancelling on their own.

I wonder if, even though ugly, it may still become a collector's item?

I surely didn't pay Y150 for a business card size paper and a rubber band. It's not the same as in their description!

Well done buddy.....:hilarious: :D

Hey buddy,
I just received an item from amazon Japan today.
Just a single steel. I always use the more expensive gift wrap option. And it came shrink wrapped to a cardboard base in a slim line sturdy cardboard box I have never seen from them before. So I don't know what they were thinking sending yours like that?
Maybe they thought as the steel had no slip they would add one for you!! :hilarious:

The good thing is that it's OOS and you can get a full refund. Plus it's not a steel you are happy to have...Hehe......:naughty:

But that packing is ridiculous....:hilarious:
I have 2 more orders coming from them this week and will report back if they do the same to me. :ohno:
Chose the more expensive gift option though so they better not!!

I think this is the first time EVER to see so many happy members getting cancellation emails....:hilarious:

I've always used the cheapest option on all my orders. Each time it's been shrink wrapped to a cardboard base.

Yes, I got a refund. And to quote their email: "Since the cost of return shipping is prohibitively expensive in this case, you do not need to return the original item. You may dispose of this order at your convenience." :D:D:D:D :naughty: :naughty:

That's actually really Japanese. Nowadays, many gifts are just given in their original packaging with a printed ribbon.
Proper gift-giving here used to be much more formal, even just 10 years ago, but it's really just become a formality anymore. :(

The gift wrap is non existent on that. But I once received a Steelbook from amazon UK with the address label just slapped onto the steel EEK! No box no nothing.....:hilarious:

I don't care how rare this turd is I personally would be pissed if I'd payed that amount for this! :p
At least have the Amaray separate not stuck to the back of the steel....:ass:

Bullet dogged...IMO

just got a text from DHL mine will be here today, don't know whether its Thor, Rambo or escape plan but i sure hope its in one peice :ohno:
