I gave up the chance of iron man futureshop because I already had the cool metallic slipcover. That's when it first came out. Unfortunately HDN wasn't here, otherwise I wouldn't be hitting my head against the wall, every day.

Doohhhhh.

No disrespect, but I think this might be where you're going wrong.

...that can be surely received somewhere at a later point for a reasonable price.

There are some releases that never come down in price once they are gone.

I bet people thought they could get RUSH on Ebay for decent price maybe close to original retail. Or The World's End. Or Kick Ass 2. Or Monsters Kimchi Lenticular. Those are all recent releases that doubled and tripled in value in the aftermarket right away.

If you think those went up in price quickly, wait til you see what this Kimchi Thor 2 fetches.

I just realised that I never got a confirmation of order e-mail from Kimchi for this.

I did previously with my Leon preorder. Although I paid for that with credit card (Kimchi wouldn't accept my Credit card for Thor 2 so I had to switch to Paypal) but that shouldn't make any difference??

I do have my Paypal confirmation e-mail of the transaction, and it's showing in my order history on my Kimchi account as 'payment completed' but no confirmation of order e-mail received from Kimchi unlike my last preorder??.

Should be OK though, right?? :ohno:

I dont think i ever got a confirmation email, if it shows as payment confirmed on Kimchi account will be fine

I dont' know if I should cry or not.

I was up when it was live. I had my copies in the cart, but when I checked out. It took forever to load, and when I decided to refresh the page, the 1/4 slip version went out of stock. So I had to delete that version from my cart. Then I checked out again. This time, I tried to apply the credit that Kimchi put in my account from the last order. It took a few more seconds, and then, when I was able to hit that "order" button. Everything was out of stock. :tear:

Now, as I'm sitting here, I wonder if I will be able to use that credit in my account at all. If there's another Kimchi's exclusive steelbook available again and selling this fast, I won't be able to apply that credit and hitting that "order" button in time for it to go through. I wish Tony refunded my money to the card instead of gave me store credits. What am I going to do with that money now? There's nothing else on Kimchi's site that I'm interested in at the moment, and when there's something I want to buy, I couldn't use it.

I missed this steelbook just by seconds.....and just because I wanted to use the store credits that I have....

:( :( :( :tear:

is hard called a second chance 30 seconds gb :)
You should realize Steelbooks Collector's world is not only HDN, many Collector's still looking for steels on ebay or directly from retailers .

I've been at blu-ray collecting long enough, and considering this is the latter of two forums I regularly frequent, I'm oddly fully aware of the points your making :)

But I don't understand your first line - "is hard called a second chance 30 seconds gb :)"

If the funds have been charged and the orders showing in your account you should be fine

Mine was exactly the same, paid with paypal and no order confirmation from Kimchi just my paypal receipt, order shows in my Kimchi account as payment complete. Previous order was the same and has been despatched so dont think its anything to be concerned about

I dont see how a group buy would help really, people sat on there laptops at the time of it going live missed out so if someone got extra copies for a GB then even more people that tried to get a copy when it went live would of missed out, then when the GB goes live it would be sold out again in 30 seconds because of limited copies available in the GB like the last monster kimchi gb there was. I missed the GB for it even though i was on my laptop signed in to HDN and waiting, only about 30 copies were available so i got to miss out twice, as it took me 30 seconds to click on the gb type in my request and i was about 35th in the list. :(
here Mental M try explain you what's happen in last gb with remaining Steelbooks from KimchiDvD

Sorry to hear that but at least you HAD a second chance...

and you called this at least second chance ^

They are already putting these up on eBay. £99. That's just ludicrous.
without a doubt a ludicrous price for a pre-order... but I can almost guarantee you he'll be able to sell both
thats disgusting - roughly triple the cost!!

I hope no one buys them at that stupid price and he's left stuck with the steel.

yeah and?
Would you rather have one chance at a steel, or two? regardless of how the internal mechanisms work?

I know I'd rather have a GB option as a 2nd chance rather than no 2nd chance at all.
