A member here just pm'd me this listing at Walmart.

Release Date: December 18th, 2012

Seems very likely given Sony steels that are at Future Shop are often at Walmart as well (see Resident Evil, Battle LA)

I don't understand all the hate for this movie either. Were those people looking for an Academy Award contender? Because this was not going to be one to begin with. But I totally enjoyed the movie.
+1 couldn't agree more...

anyway some of my friends having problem about audio drop out, do you guys have some? I used PS3 no problem at all...

No problem of audio drop out on my region free Insignia NS-WBRDVD. Actually, very good sound on this one. :movie:

Which version is better to watch? The reg or the extended?
I have some time this weekend to watch.

I don't recall ever watching the original so I will have a clean slate.:D

Extended cut:cool:

I got the TW edition a while back and watched only the original edition then but it was not a memorable viewing. When I got this, my family decided to check out the DC edition and I will now amend my previous assessment - it is definitely a better movie on the Director's Cut. :D

Ya I'm having the problem. Th solution is to go the settings menu and change it from Bitstream to PCM. No one knows if it's a component issue or a disc issue. But that will fix it for now until there's a firmware or disc replacement. Which either is the fix.

Very impressed with this steel..I usually prefer the matte finish (no fingerprints), but the color and detail are great!!..Also love the inside artwork!!

So gave the extented/ directors cut a watch last night/ this morning and I have to say I also enjoyed it much more than I thought I would. I do wish they had a diff guy but the two ladies more than made up for it:LOL::oohyeah:

I think it's an ok movie; it suffers from comparison with the Arnie/Verhoeven version which has loyal fans, myself included. Perhaps played a little too straight; a couple of lighthearted moments could have improved it. I bought the Walmart version on ebay today as I am in England for Christmas and missed the Walmart online order, doh! I had thought I'd pass on this, but the Christmas spirit prevailed and I caved in. I could have bought the HMV version but I generally prefer the US, just in case they slip in an annoying language menu or an extra goes missing.

Just finished watching the Extended Cut, movie was alright but Man, Kate was Relentless in her Pursuit for a Divorce :D

In other News, I had about 6 Audio Drop outs and 1 scene where it just paused and i had to rewind and let it play again. Watched it on my Insignia Region Free player. Anyone else had some problems?

On another forum I visit, people were also mentioning the audio dropouts. I think i had just 1, but I went back and it didn't happen again. FWIW i watched it on my ps3.

mine also had 1 scene with an audio drop out. I didnt rewind it to see if it happened again. Hmm i might have to watch it again and see it if happens. I did enjoy the movie enough to watch it again lol

I posted this a little ways back in this thread but I thought I'd share it again because we're talking about it. The solution is to go the settings menu and change it from Bitstream to PCM. No one knows if it's a component issue or a disc issue. But that will fix it for now until there's a firmware or disc replacement. Which either will be the real fix.
