according to a user on the German Board meinerseits Media Markt will get an exclusive 3D Steelbook of Transformers 3.

Release date of February 9th, 2012.

DB - I thought Bad was asking about the regular TF3 SB release. This thread is for the upcoming 3D version. So sorry, please don't reset me back to 1 post :ohno:

I was just thinking about this myself. I'm thinking it's going to have the same art as the other world wide releases of the Transformers 3 steelbook. It would be sweet if it was different though (in a good way though)!
 
Anyone have an in-store price on this? A friend of mine is going to Germany in December and agreed to pick up a copy for me, but she'll only do it if I buy her a Media Markt gift certificate to buy it with. I need to know how much to figure out basically how much I should buy the gift certificate for.
 
Hey Kensingtonite-I am not sure what the in store price is, but if you get 4 more posts, you may just be able to ask one of our members you always does Group Buys for German Exclusives 'Masterblaster'. He's running a group buy for this now...good luck, either way:)

Finally Paramount has given an offical word on the 3D version of Transformers 3. Hopefully there are now things in motion at the Media Markt.

Paramount's steelbook releases:
  • Thor - 2D (UK, Australia, Portugal) and 3D (Hong Kong) have the same artwork.
  • Captain America - 2D (UK) and 3D (France and Germany) have the same artwork.
  • Transformers 3/Dark of the Moon - 2D (Amazon.de) and 3D = most likely to follow suit.

I really wish Paramount would step up their Steelbook game. They could start by releasing a G2 "wave" of steelbooks in the US that includes Transformers, Transformers 2/Revenge of the Fallen and Iron Man.
