to be fair in person it doesent actually look that bad i carnt see it unless im looking for it in the right light, its like a indentation from were the discs are housed or something

Anyone else in the US experiencing delays with their shipment? My 2nd part of the GB was shipped DHL Global Mail and was last scanned leaving Germany on 5/31.

From past shipments, it's often scanned in Kentucky before proceeding on, and that has not occurred yet. :(

Usually the estimates are spot on, but this one is taking a long time for some reason.

I've been doing some digging and DHLGA posted this on their website, active as 5/25.

DHLGA said:
Due to the ash cloud emanating from the Icelandic volcano Grimsvotn, the Northern European airspace has been partially closed. However, DHL Global Mail has only experienced very minor service disruptions thus far, since our main hubs have not been affected by the airspace closure. If this situation changes, we will update you immediately and implement contingency plans.

I thought the effects from this ash cloud stopped weeks back?

Yeah, but have they caught up with the delays yet? There could be a backlog of stuff still not processed since it all came in at once - in customs, or wherever.

Just a thought.

True but I find companys just seem to milk the oppoturnity of blaming delays on any recent events for weeks. While there may be some delays a few weeks seems odd.

i supposed to have this one on the 12the and i haven't received it yet, do you guys think they still have the problem with the ashes?

Good question Tono. Mine for the GB were supposed to show up on the 11th and they just arrived today (7 days after estimate). :D

I've seen DHLGA shipments often get scanned in Kentucky when they arrive in the US. This one for me didn't - the last scan was when it left Germany. Maybe your luck is better? Have you checked the status @ amazon.de via your order history?

i'll check right now, but mine should be here this coming week based in what you mentioned, i just hope it arrives in good condition; it's a hassle to return stuff, even when their costumer service is awesome. thanks andy;)

Both my discs were wrecked on arrival, the second being a replacement disc for the first one that was originally damaged.

This was in spite of me explaining to them to provide adequate protection prior to each item being sent.

After several weeks of back & forth, I am very upset & discouraged to purchase SB's from Amazon Germany again. Sigh.

Some of my discs were also badly damaged for the last few shipment.
The Wall street and Life steelbook both badly dented, replacement came in dented too.

Wrote them emails but they didn't reply at all and i'm asking for a refund, they replied immediately asking me to print out the label and send them back the damaged discs.
I wonder if I'll get the full refud including the full postage cost? They are heavy.

I have my fingers crossed that mine will arrive safely. It was supposed to arrive on the 10th, but hasn't shown up in the mailbox just yet. IMO Amazon UK is the best. The Paul Steelbook shipped out last week and has already arrived in the mail.

Same here.....amazon.de packaging is suck big time and I almost have to beg to get my postage refund. Anyway I cancelled all my pre-ordered (around 20 or more steelbooks) with them and stop buying from them.

Next time you really want to get one, feel free to shoot me a PM - I may have a group buy in the works.

Would be a bit more expensive, obviously, but if you're getting one or two at a time, it would save you the hassle of having to deal with damaged ones.

is been almost two weeks since i supposed to receive this one and nothing, i contacted amazon.de and they sent another one right away, i'm so happy with their customer service but i don't know what happened since this is the first time an order gets missing; i thought that was because of the ashes, but it's been a while now, oh well....

I'm also in this situation. However, I had to use Google translate so I hope they can resort this issue out because they also just shipped out the Green Hornet Steelbook so I don't want them both to get lost.
