Yes, I think "Wende Steelbook" is the one that has the same artwork on both sides. Quersteelbook just means it is sideways. Thanks everyone for chiming in, so everyone can learn the various terms and share them with others for the collection mania:)

Maybe they can turn the stacks and stacks of New Moon into Eclipse. Seriously, they should have taken these of the shelf instead of the Disney Steel.

I would say it was a failure because of 2 main reasons: and a future 3rd reason.

1. They made the Blu-steel DVD sized.
2. Since New moon wasn't that great of a movie, like Eclipse or Twilight was....I would say that Futureshop gave the fans what they wanted. The correct size and bundled it with New Moon for free. I guarantee that if Best buy did the same thing, it would have sold a lot better.

3. Would be, BB still does not learn from their major mistake and decided to make it G1 (DVD sized) once again pissing off fans of Blu-steel. So if it goes to Canada again, I can wait. I can't fit DVD size any longer. Made shelves that only sized for Blu-rays.

Hey Jonathan-no they did not. Spain did, but FS said that all ueber exclusives had been cancelled-the reason Borders did not get theirs either. Not sure how Target squeezed their exclusive in, but maybe they are referring to extra special eds, not sure.

well im back to Square one. my sis has informed me that the BD/DVD special edition is not a 2 disc set, ITS A FLIPPER DISC!!!! Summit Entertainment ... the sinners.

Anyone that decided to get this, have any pics? I usually do not like G1 Steels, but I have New Moon (as well as other TL Steels), so I wanted to add this to my collection. However BB sent me an Amaray-though my order was for the correct sku, so I had to return it-bah:) DB

seriously, I mean why not give 2 seperate discs like all the other combo packs out there. Eclipse as an all around release has been plagued by nonsense.

Spain and the UK seems to be the lucky ones in this fight.

Yeah it definitely stinks if you want 2 separate discs, but several other studios also opted for "flipper" discs as opposed to "combo packs" like Disney, has, for instance. It's probably cheaper for them (no 2 discs to manufacturer and no double tray to include in the case). But still-if you are trying to lend it out, but still want the BD version to stay in tact or vice versa, or two people are trying to watch the movie in 2 different physical places, it could be an issue. Licensing rules the roost with various regions not getting releases,or getting them later. But luckily we have some great folks from all over the world here, trying to help with the imports:)

New Moon wasn't the best looking steelbook out there. It was just simple & kinda plain looking. It should have had a cover that went with Eclipse's cover.

Any reason the Eclipse steelbook G1 is more rare than say New Moon or Breaking Dawn

Ok I am a sucker for any steelbook I can pick up on store and when I got back into steelbooks and saw that hey I could grab a Breaking Dawn off my Best Buy shelf I grabbed it. Totally underwhelmed by the steelbook though no inside artwork and a very plain cover (clean though). Now since I had Breaking Dawn I figured what the heck now I gotta complete the collection (I tried to get the wife to buy these but she bought some Borders and then Target special editions that she liked more). So I found a cheap New Moon on amazon for like $4 (probably totally what its worth haha). But now am struggling finding the Eclipse I never see them on ebay and the ones on amazon are for like $50 (I am sorry no twilight steel is worth $50). Why is eclipse so much harder to find and so much more expensive?

Also anyone know of a good G1 Twilight to finish the collection, preferably matching how the Best Buy exclusives look like?
