I'm loving some of the comments on here, I've never seen a thread spark such controversy over one movie like this one. It's hilarious but at the same time irritable.
Come on haters, we're you really expecting something akin to a naked Johansson running around the U.K. destroying hapless victims ala Species with gunfire and big budget CG? Take a glace at the trailer and that will inform you of everything you need to know.
Like the majority of happy pre-ordering ninjas they clearly understand that it is indeed an art film.
From what I can see through various reviews it seems to be an extremely divisive movie and entirely all about the visuals. It's reminding me of 2001, Enter The Void or the recent Only God Forgives, much more of an experience in style rather than full on action or a exciting plot.
For me this is a blind buy, but only because I really admire the work of Jonathan Glazer and I have my utmost faith in his work (yes, even Birth) Based on this and from recommendations from friends with similar interests I put down my hard earned cash for this one and I have a feeling I'm going to love it.
I'm fully aware that everyone is opinionated and that's great, one mans sci-fi masterpiece may be Blade Runner whereas another man might find this slow and boring and may prefer the fun romp that is Men in Black (he's wrong

). light criticism makes for great discussion, all this is fine, but to post on here telling others that they are stupid for paying top dollar for it is out of order. I know some are possibly throwing out a friendly warning to maybe inform some ninjas to save their cash but there are some real vindictive comments too.
If some people want to pay over €30 for this title that's their business let them get on with it, it's no crazier than paying between €80-100 for Iron Man or Thor.
Rant over.
