Hi All, I've renamed this thread, to allow anyone to post "fake" or "suspect" retailer or Ebay listings, so anyone can discuss/be warned. It allows traders to protect each other/discuss various listings that may or may not be authentic, officially supported Steelbook releases. -Digitalbabe.

If any of you guys out there noticed a signed copy of Machete just sold on Ebay for over 200 dollars.
Was this an official steelbook or was this a FAKE ????

thats because its the slipcover from a french release stuck on the dutch steelbook?

Not sure it's an official release - Metropolitan is a distributor in France and the Steelbook is definitely from the Netherlands...

I do think that is the dutch steelbook, regarding the language on the back.
The front cover seems to be the french lenticular cardoard wich is removable from the slipcover. It has been removed, and then sticked on the dutch blu-ray.

Scanavo wont do anything limited to 500. The etailer could have ordered a min. print run and then ordered 500 of the lenticulars and then put them together to be an official run for the etailer. But there was no order for just 500 like that alone. Its not allowed. So they either ordered 3,500 regular Kick Ass netherlands and then the other 500 they made like that, or nothing. If there was 500, there would be a lot more running around then this lone wolf. We would see lots on ebay. I think someone is trying to make this seem limited, then is going to make more and try to cash in on ebay.

As everyone has stated, this is a fake - it is not an official release - moved posts from last steelbook purchased to this thread.

This is not an official Steelbook release-it is simply put together from 2 other releases that someone could buy and put together themselves. See several posts up in this thread.
