I got 1 of mine this afternoon
It came in 1 of their little white boxes
Besides a tiny manufacturing impression on the front the size of a fine point pen tip, it's pretty much perfect
Definitely a beautiful, super glossy SteelBook
...so like the Hitchhiker's Guide tells us, DON'T PANIC

Really poor work by Zavvi and a betrayal of trust, to be honest. I'm used the white boxes with a bit of foam inside, which has worked 9 times out of 10 but was troubled to read some of the comments already posted.

I received 1 of my 2 copies today in just the cardboard envelope without any foam and it's lucky to have survived the trip all the way to oz. I'll be sending message to Zavvi about this because if it continues, they can say goodbye to all of my pre-orders.

There was an update some time ago now, they ran out of boxes, check on the Retailer section, of course this is very bad service from Zavvi.

DB gave us an update on here a day or 2 ago, it's not a question of them running out of boxes, they're trialling new, cheaper mailers.

It looks to be a failed experiment.

returned the copies ? I should be so lucky - made a request on Monday to return severely damaged copies , duplicated it to their feedback email with photos on Tuesday Morning because they told me they couldn't open their own website photo uploader - still waiting for a reply.

I can never understand UK Postal service items shipped days after arrive before earlier shipped items and they arrive later


I had 4 deliveries of different releases so far from Zavvi using this new packaging cardboard envelope for steelbooks
1 last week and 3 this week ironically they all arrived with no damage

The cardboard envelope is fine for normal AMARAY Blu-Ray Cases

Its not safe for steelbooks in my opinion even though so far I not got any damaged ones yet

I appear to have been one of the lucky ones too... I've now had 4 in A1 mailers and all have been pristine. I don't doubt that it's only a matter of time though.

This morning in fact, I even got an A1 mailer with a layer of their "protective foam" inside. Needless to say, I threw a little party

Same here! Evil Dead turned up with a mailer and a thin piece of foam and has arrived unscathed. Still don't agree with it!

I received it today in the zavvi white box, while Dardevil and 28 Weeks Later from zavvi flash sale arrived in the brown mailers. Fortunately, all seem mint!
