Got my copy today in one of those envelops. Surprisingly it wasn't dented at all. Did have some random scratching on it but nothing major enough to bother me at all. Just glad it didn't arrive bent in half or anything. Still really not happy about this new packaging though.

Received both of my copies today, both in the new cardboard mailers. By pure dumb luck both appear to be free of major damage like dents, but there's minor scratches on both. Mostly on the bottom of the steels and the spines. :(

Considering the amount of dented steels people are receiving, I'm happy I at least received one I'd consider to be in acceptable condition at all. If this is the new way Zavvi's shipping these steels, every single one of my pre-orders are being canceled - this isn't the least bit acceptable. I'd be happy to pay more in shipping to have them arrive in good shape without the entire thing being stressful and disappointing.

I'm debating returning one of them for a refund, even though it's in reasonable shape - it's not mint due to the scratches, but considering how few of these seem to be surviving without dents maybe someone that had theirs dented to hell would be interested in it?

(Just a general question, not a trade offer)

Either way, I'm going to hassle customer support and try to get a partial refund for the scratches.

I got 2/3 today in the US in brown boxes.

I was waiting to see if you got yours before me. I'm in Texas and I always seem to get mine a day before or after you. My Cabin in the Woods came today and it was in a white box. Praying for a couple ninjas and myself that my 3 V's come in boxes and unharmed.

There's damaged and damage did I read the stretching sorta paint chip corners are a manufacturers flaw and are on most?

Mine came in perfect condition, but that's just by chance. They could have easily been damaged. To shove them into those cardboard boxes with zero padding is simply inexcusable, and I'm teetering on the thought of cancelling all my Zavvi purchasing and selectively seeking their steels in the aftermarket. If I had known that V for Vendetta was going to be shipped like this, I wouldn't have ordered it. Not being negative, but cmon. Give me a break. You don't play around with worldwide shipments of a sold out and sought after steelbook like this and then start selling V on your outlet while hundreds of collectors are still awaiting their copies that are at high risk of arriving damaged.

Straight up.. there is no excuse.

To clarify, the white box was Evil Dead 2 which means there's another V somewhere scared, afraid, and alone.
