Can I ask how long you should wait before telephoning the credit card company for a charge back when Zavvi fail to repond to your emails and simply ignore you ? Thanks.

Hi Toby, I am not sure how it works in the UK in regards to actual time frame you have for your bank or credit card company. In the US we are able to file a claim with our credit or debit card, if an item is not as promised, and or/we have contacted the retailer already to attempt to resolve the issue. Some credit cards also offer buyer protection if you purchase with that card. For the sake of everyone waiting for this, and other releases, I really hope this is resolved soon.

So as I thought, both of my copies arrived damaged with a BIG dent on the front! I'm asking for a refund, any idea if Zavvi would refund you in situation like that? Or do they ask you to ship the order back to them before a refund?

In my experience, they will first offer you a partial refund. You will need to decline it and push for a full refund. More than likely they will ask for you to send them back. Usually a full refund requires a return or you can keep it for the partial.

Thank you for the reply! I'll wait and see what they say in the email tomorrow!

My heart was in my mouth when I saw two packages waiting for me yesterday. One from Zavvi in the cardboard envelope and another in a jiffy bag from eBay. Luckily both steels were fine but I don't want to see that again. Zavvi would be crazy not to sort this out otherwise they'll lose customers in a big way.

My copy arrived today in the regular single item package with no external damage BUT...the steelbook itself has a GIANT DENT on the front right side :(

It was obviously damaged before packaging and they went ahead and shipped it anyway :angry::angry:

My arrived 2 days ago in a normal white box. Luckily no damage:)
I think we can bring this down to a 1000 print run now with all the damaged copies...

And Zavvi now give people a 10% discount on their next order, I think they should give the money back to people that received a damaged copy...

Sad to see zavvi have let everyone down in this way
What is a great steel has now been ruined by the poor packaging it was sent out in and so many damaged copies is completely unacceptable from a multi million pound company
Chip is right an apology is the least they can do

Arrived this morning
Cardboard envelope no foam :(

Not 100 % but close
Tiny dent on top back of the steelbook
Its very glossy fingerprint magnet

I was expecting the worse its not 100% mint but it will do as its minor dent very minor

Terrible looking steel, the border looks so out of place. Really not a fan of embossing for this reason. Debossing on the other hand looks great as there's no border. Wish studios would release more like the 2 Guns steel for example.

Well I have contacted them on facebook asking for a call back to discuss the damage and all I keep getting are requests to send photo's.
To be honest I am sick to the teeth with their **** customer service , I must of sent over 30 photo's in the last 18 months of damaged steelbooks and sick of being made out to be a liar !
I am lucky to be only 15 mins drive from their offices and have now stated I will be driving over there with the damaged steelbooks and demand my refund.

I had a response from them saying the steelbook should not of been sent in the **** cardboard mailer and it would not happen again.
The following day or so after I ordered Pinocchio steelbook and took advantage of the £5 of Pixar steelbooks they then sent all 3 of the Toy Story steelbooks the same way in the same cardboard mailers with no foam !
Enough is enough with this company it needs a visit to them and their packing department in Warrington to sort this **** out once and for all as they clearly don't listen.
Very tempted to contact trading standards over all this damage with my full report from 18 months of contact.

What a surprise the code does not even work on pre-orders. I have about three Steelbooks left on order with them. I have cut back massively because of the over saturation, the poor artwork, the poor finishes, the over pricing and now the poor packaging.
