It could also be a cost issue. Every additional disc is costing money. 4K is the way to go, so it’s not that strange studios and resellers are focussing on this.
It's nice to get a Blufans 4K release for my Marvel collection. Whether I open them or not, It's nice that the option is there and I too hope this is the way they go now as 4K for me is first and foremost. 3D is a nice side option but
it's not my viewing preference and never will be.
Each to their own of course.

So now that we've heard from all the disappointed 3D fans, where are all the forced 4K ranters?

Or does Blufans have separate 4K and regular blu-ray slips? :dunno:
I haven't paid attention to any Blufans releases that weren't Marvel or Star Wars.

@yeslek won't buy anything that doesn't include a 3D disc if it was released in theatres in 3D.
 Yeah, that's fine, I'm just asking because she once said
so long as the 4k disc is in ADDITION to the 2D/3D rather than to replace 3D, then that's fine.
If its to replace then I guess that would be the end of Blufans collecting for me
:giggle::giggle::giggle: It sounds to me like it's not the end, just a hiatus.

Nah, not quite seeing that. The best option is of course to offer both 4K/2D and 3D/2D, much like most do these days. That would be the natural choice if they were offered 3D, which is why my guess is on the studio being the show stopper here. That way there is no additional disc cost, and you can choose what fits your preference. 3D option is even cheaper, and I doubt that 4K sells more than 3D yet, especially in China.

Was wanting this in 3d and saw BF were releasing it so never bothered putting name down on GB for the WeET edition. It's now sold out and BF are no longer doing 3d!!!!!!

I've just now put an order in for 3d Amaray German Amazon DE edition now. A bit gutted at that.

This has left a sour taste on an otherwise cool looking steelbook.

For $60/$70 I expect to be able to get a premium package that suits me. Right now, I have no use for a 4K disc whether its 'the way to go' or not. It's just wasted on me. Maybe I'll try selling it and/or swapping it for the 3D disc if I decide to go for this. (2,000 print run suggests pandemonium! This film has such a huge following already)

I really hope this won't be a thing going forward with Blufans, dropping the 3D.....

3D being dropped by a Chinese manufacturer makes no sense whether it was a studio decision or Blufans' decision.
China is the biggest market for 3D in the world when it comes to 3D in theatres.

Remember how Disney didn't have a 3D disc for Coco's (BF) release? Same sort of thing.

It's likely BF haven't been given a choice themselves so we can say whatever and it won't change a thing.
