Went to BB and received my price adjustment. The dude was really cool about it too. I planned on picking up the LotR trilogy, but I couldn't put a mint set together. I had a mint Fellowship, but the copy of Two Towers that didn't have a visible paint chip, had a weird small dark colored mark or defect on the front cover. So I passed on buying any of them. I felt weird walking away from a steelbook display without any steelbooks in hand.

As far as stock levels go, many were sold out or were close to sold out. They still had a fair amount of Batman's & DK's though. And I still don't think they've sold any of the LotR's. Same amount of sets that they had at launch.

Do we know how many of each of these steelbooks were made because it seems like there are three different group amounts. It looks like Dark Knight and batman begins had they most followed by the LOTRs and the hangover movies had the second most and than every other movie with about the same amount. That was what it looked like at my store, but was just wondering if that was how it was most places.

Shawshank Redemption is the only title you can't order online as far as I am aware as its on back order online could lead to it being rarer in stores. It's been like that since day 1 as I tried to order one online on the first Thursday we found out about these they might be making more as I was told I could leave it open and they would ship in 4-6 weeks. These will likely go fast at the $9.99 price that would be a worry for me except my best buy has yet to get a single copy of any if them.

Funny you should say that. I was looking to pick up another copy of Clash and found a complete mint one, then then noticed the spine was misaligned. It's the first time I've seen that. Now have to go check the ones I have.

It would be awesome if all single disc Blu-ray releases would have an empty slot for our regular DVD version so we didn't have to keep two cases or trade the DVD in.

I wish this too, I wish we had got some Ghost Riders as I would have tried to convert those in combo packs for $5 a pop.

My initial $416 investment for all 20 steelbooks has melted away to mere $215 after all the discounts. Absolutely amazing!

Here's the best part for the stores: I actually spent some of that adjusted money in the store on other titles - probably would never had picked those up if I wasn't in there to perform the 2 price adjustments in the first place. Would have missed those good deals, many of which were equal in price to Amazon.

Good job BB - you're actually thinking about customers and their needs for once I shall return on Tuesday...

Ricker My store only had one Shawshank and thats the one I hid They are holding Green lantern clash matrix and last samuari for me for tomorrow i always say whats the difference if u can order them online for a store pick up then they cave in and hold it for me overnight lol and i did hide green lantern also i have a secret place in my store hid stuff twice 2/2

If you want to get something that will hold its value get some of last years japan steels. A few of them are still avaible to buy off amazon.jp

Best Buy is in big financial trouble and it seems as though they are willing to bring down the entire collector market with cheap steels in order to try and save their ass.
