I'm gutted. My copy has just turned up with its lentcular cover with two big slashes. I haven't seen that before ... those slashes are under the wrapping paper.

I have emailed Tony, but this is sold out so I don't know how he is going to help me, unless I get a fullslip edition instead.

Phew! That's good to hear mate, thanks!!!

I will take your word ... coz I don't want to open it but It's a shame that mine look bad.
All of them have a protective 2 layer front and back that's removable it's to protect the lenti from scratches and meant to be like that
They sell these to customers expecting them to be unsealed and used not kept sealed

Received mine this morning. Beautiful set. Opened it all up & then noticed a dreaded spine slash on the steelbook. Anyone know what I can do about this when I've opened everything? I've never ordered from Kimchi before so don't know what their terms are or whatever.

Got an email back this morning about the spine slash saying they'll ship an empty steelbook to me. First time ordering from KimchiDVD & the first issue I've encountered between orders from them, FilmArena, PlainArchive & Novamedia & I'm floored by the customer service.
I thought Amazon was good, but this goes above & beyond what I expected. The package was fully opened so I expected no exchange or whatever, & they just straight up offer to send me a new steelbook. Fantastic service.

Quality control on this release could have been better, since I opened my lenticular and the steelbook had scratches on the back. Also scanavo full slip had "wrinkles" on the front. Who is this Tony, I need to contact him

The Scanavo Cases seem to often have an issue with the outer border where the plastic is sealed on the front Case as I did notice several releases with the wrinkles...if you run your finger down the front seam where the plastic is sealed, you will feel bumps at every 1 1/2 inch about... some are less obvious more well made, but this issue is for all Scanavo CAse whether it is Nova, Kimchi, D'ailly any retailer that does a Scanavo Case...

I saw pictures of the Scanavo CAse of Let Me In and it appears at the bottom of the Case there is some wrinkle from the one taken in picture.... it seems that the wave of the plastic on the seem, seems worse towards the bottom of the case...I have one that is obvious and most of them however you can notice them but are acceptable. IMO they should all be Perfect, I think it may have to do since their case are bigger, the Plastic must be thicker and I think it is where the issue can happen. I have noticed on regular Amarays the same thing but since plastic is much thinner, its not as obvious, it must be just the process of making the seam on the scanavo Case and it may be better to take Pictures of the ones that are unacceptable and maybe to contact Scanavo Directly to let them know of this issue as I believe that since there is the language barrier in Korea, telling one retailer of some issue in regards to the Scanavo Case may not yield any results.

I have learned to let some things go, being OCD can cause a lot of Strife as you hang on to details that affects you much, but I am learning to make peace with the ''acceptable'' ones, which does remove a lot of stress...

And @Hamill82 if ever you contact Kimchi, be very straight to the Point, short sentences as there is a big language barrier. But if you want to contact Kimchi to inform them of the poor quality control of the Scanavo Cases from what I gathered, it is pointless to provide your feedback directly to Kimchi which is run by 1 person and like I said there is a huge language barrier. This is my own Opinion as I spoke with Tony several time since I started collecting and the language barrier will make it very difficult for you to provide your feedback on the Scanavo Cases. I say either contact Blu as it is their Publisher for The Whiplash Release, maybe their english is better if not find a way to provide your feedback straight to Scanavo.

These are not major flaws, but I took few pictures. My problem is, I'm too meticulous
little "hair scratch" on the back of steelbook

small scanavo fullslip damage "wrinkle, crinkle" whatever it's called
