I don't think this is correct. 4pm ET equals 8pm GMT/9pm BST (which basically equals 9pm GMT once summer time has been activated, which is the case as of past weekend). 9pm BST/GMT is the same as 10pm CET.

However, the time difference atm between the UK remains 5hrs.

So if the GB has a live time of 4pm EDT, then it is definitely a 9pm BST start... unless it's actually a 5pm EDT start

Unless I'm completely misunderstanding something, then yes

Although GMT is separate from BST, they're not the same time, and there are some countries who observe GMT all year round (9pm BST will still be 8pm GMT).
