Both of mine are scratched to Hell and back. Doubt it's just a few copies that suffer with this problem (check yours against the light). Dents on the front of one too.

We would be complaining non stop about this if it was Zavvi, but it's good that BF are going to be replacing them.

Keep them sealed folks.

The problem is likely happened during the shrink wrapping stage and I guess the frontline workers are not trained for handling steelbooks. But Blufans will offer a case exchange program later on. When there is an issue, there will be always a solution for it.

Got mine yesterday what a gorgeous steelbook, it was damage free too. I gave the notebook to my 4 year old he was so excited for that notebook.

So after hearing all this I decided to open my copy (I was on the fence about it). Sure enough a minor dent and scratches. The dent is very small but it's very scratched up including that long one from top to bottom. Mine also has some pinhole like dents in the front. Little tiny circle shaped dents about the size of a ballpoint pen head.

Some of members reported the scratches at the back of steel after opening, please do not worry. There will be a exchange for the steelbook case after the hubs are all done with the delivery and there will be no additional cost to you.

Sounds like es jack reacher syndrome with a defect, im sure it hasnt affected each one though, and havent opened mine and dont intend to, yet

There is a reporting problem, but not every single copy like that.

So are they going to press new cases to order ? I would have thought they'd just press to match the original run, in which case it makes sense to just send them out to those who are/may be affected.

And are we sure it hasn't affected every single one - have there been reports of opened, totally pristine copies ?

EDIT: Just checked mine and if I was going to be completely OCD there is a printing error on the back, much like when a printer is starting to run out out ink - a very thin white line. Will post a photo later

People been saying how good BluFans are too but with my OCD I have a feeling I'm going to be disappointed!

Even if you list then on fleebay with the disclaimer it is of no use because if the buyer decides to open it and sees these it will definitely put the seller in trouble. This will serve as a wake up call to Blufans and to Scanavo for not doing proper QC. If this happens again I am sure many among us will start putting Blufans in the same boat as Zavvi.
