The custom artwork shown has nothing to do with the movie itself, they will not cater towards the nerds. Penelope is involved in the movie and the story is based around her, the fix it felix part has nothing to do with the movie.

As much as I like the custom artwork myself...

This is the same retailer that has a nearly naked :boobies: Salma Hayek :boobies: on the cover of From Dusk Til Dawn. I'm pretty sure that wasn't a vital part of the movie either :hilarious:

Not that I'm complaining or anything :naughty:

I like the custom job. They can put Penelope et all on the inside. Not all that keen of the Sugar Rush landscape. Correct me if I'm wrong, someone did a full on mock up somewhere on this thread? IMO, there is no flow to the existing artwork.

Just to clarify - her name is Vanellope. Vanellope Von Schweetz. Not Penelope.

In regards to the "Fix it Felix doesn't have anything to do with the movie" argument -
The Fix it Felix game is the entire reason Ralph goes on this whole adventure, because he gets sick of his game. It takes going through these other games and meeting other characters to help him realize that Fix it Felix is his true home, where he belongs. I'd say that's quite relevant to the movie...
I'm shocked that people actually prefer Zavvis art. It's just a piece of clip art on a white background?? Hardly what I'd call 'cover art'. I'd be happy to see a pic of both Ralph and Vanellope on there, but at least choose a better image.

Don't forget to use spoiler tags people, especially if you are going to give away the entire gist of the movie in one short paragraph!! :p

This is very ignorant comment, has nothing to do with catering to anyone. There are so many steels out there having images that have nothing to do with the movie plot itself. The artwork is supposed to stand out and make me want to buy it and this does not even mesh together:angry:

I like both art I think it's gonna look great even more so if zavvi do an embossed title and head with de-bossed mouth so cool.

Still a little pi**d about the price with lack of 3d.
£17.99 - 2d
£22.99 - 2d & 3d
That would be my thoughts i'm also wondering will zavvi ever do a "zavvi exclusive" with a 3d disc? there negotiations seem to exclude the 3d every single time.
Less expense more profit margin maybe and yet ES do 3d no problem also WW release like MOS and PR both get the 3d option added in. :oohyeah:

Just to let you know I've decided not to write them an email about the artwork. If everybody here would have prefered the custom design I'd do it but not if it's not that clear as it was with The Prestige for example. But in my opinion the custom back would go very well with the front and make a much more beautiful Steelbook.
