I reckon these steelbooks that are part of a collection that sell out will be worth alot in the future. I can see new collectors wanting the set liking with harry potter making them rare. We shall see

People will one day be kicking themselves in the ass if they pass on any of them including Jungle Book. There are way more Disney Fans with deep pockets out there than there are copies of any of these steelbooks. There may not be a huge demand for all of them now but just wait....

your pleasant arent you

I took the risk at buying from 3rd party at a later date rather than deal with zavvi, and I remain confident I'll still be able to do so at some point. Its just a shame that it selling out will make it more difficult. Unlike the sourcing of Team America and Reservoir Dogs which are still in stock and already popping up on ebay.

But like the HELPFUL member said previously, maybe a trader on here will help me our (clearly not the likes of you)

I dont believe zavvi hold back for damages, but cancellations will certainly reappear around release date. Not that I'm wanting to buy direct regardless :(

stupid zavvi

It does not always happen but I got my thor and dusk til dawn by constantly checking the site for cacelations and because of the heads up from people like Kron. Love this site and I agree. If you are not being helpful dont bother.

exactly, cancellations and a few being re-listing around release date is almost guaranteed nowadays.
its a lucky loophole for those who miss out IMO :)

Like I said before, I'm pretty confident I'll get my copy, but I may have to cave and deal with Zavvi to do so...would rather no for many reasons but its one of the steels I DO really want (opposed to the likes of Prestige, Team America, Gremlins of which I can deal without, but would like to have :) )

Zavvi should remind themselves of the back artwork of Roger Rabbit to design the front for this ;):ohno: still unique and brilliant and hard to beat IMO

sigh...Zavvi's order management system really sucks.

Thanks to some assclown that stole my credit card I may miss out on this. I just spent the whole morning canceling and re-ordering more than 20 pre-orders with Zavvi because there is no way to update a credit card on an order once it has been placed. Luckily almost all of them were still available to pre-order....except Wreck it Ralph. :(

So now I'll probably miss out on this one. If anyone ordered multiple copies and can help me out with one it would be much appreciated.

Sorry to hear about that. I only ordered one unfortunatly so I won't be able to help you out but this has been sold out a while and still has a month to release, I assume between this time, they will have alot of cancellations and you'll be able to pick one up later on if nobody on here can't help you out which is unlikely.

That's a massive headache Geek, sorry to hear that.

It's inevitable that this will be back in stock at some point. So just the minor inconvenience of checking here for a date and time when the cancellations will go up. I'm not concerned at all these days about missing out on any Zavvi steel. Even Pain & Gain will be back again at some point.

You should have left your stolen card on it because when a payment doesn't go through it gives you an option to change the payment method.

Anyway, I'm not doubting that there'll be tons of pre-orders left from all the cancellations (From Dusk Till Dawn, Thor).

I kept saying that about Commando but it has never came back in stock. I'm still bummed that I missed out on that one.

Wreck It is the only order I did not cancel in hopes that I can resolve the card when they start to process the orders. Has the resolve thing actually worked for anyone?

May I ask...and this might be a stupid question but how come HDN approved the back art for this film and I'm guessing this site had some influence on it or getting them to do back art in the first place.....BUT a steelbook like Monsters University which is horrible looking and was in need of a make over, nothing could be done.

Is it just luck or what ?

Wreck it Ralph is (or appears to be), Zavvi worldwide exclusive art, where the Monsters University release is a global release

I guess it depends on the film and the fact that it's a Zavvi exclusive as to whether changes can be made. Our site certainly has a big say and if enough people don't like something there is a chance Zavvi may listen to the complaints. That's not always the case though and I imagine with a lot of steels their hands are tied and they are unable to change artworks.

There was actually a poll on changing the monsters university artwork. It didn't work obviously. We kinda just assumed its the same all around the world, nothing much we can do. Now blufans has different art so although the zavvi in theory could be changed, might aswell go for blufans :scat:

Its off topic but I really like the Zavvi Monsters U artwork.

I like it too. Just not as much as the blufans release. On topic. I feel the same about wreck it ralph. UP is the only blufans release that I have liked enough however to shell the money out on it. They're all incredible and well done just I don't want to spend hundreds on a few releases. This zavvi version is still nice and only 20 quid. Not bad  There isn't another nice release for up however.

Oh right. I just assumed with Wreck it Ralph being part of their Disney Collection and Monsters University being part of their Pixar one they would have some say in it. If one steelbook part of a collection can get changed then I don't see why they couldn't change others especialy after the response to the steelbook (look at the forum for example people have been complaining since it was shown off). It's not like comparing Wreck it Rallph (part of a collection Zavvi are doing) to a steelbook not part of any collection like stand alone steels such as Sunshine, Big Trouble in Little China, Pans Labyrinth or The Worlds End for example

Sorry for going off topic but I was just curious

@Kurgen1975

They used global artwork for a steelbook part of their collection. Why not hang on and do Monsters University in a years time or so, then do a unique, exclusive artwork for it. The whole point of the collection in my opinion was getting different artwork for the films, now one of them in the collection is part of a global release <sigh>
