I have splinters on my butt from sitting on the fence.

I have the UK one, as I have all the UK steels and it would really bug me if I didn't continue the trend. It's a very difficult steel to obtain now too. Enjoyed hunting it down. Also not a fan of the French text.

However, the French version has all the trimmings.

Each to there own though. As long as we get the copy we want, that's the main thing :scat:

The 'Le Commencement' was the reason why i couldnt buy the french version, I thought this steel was going to get away from me because it is so hard to find for a price i was willing to pay. Luckily checking the trade thread daily, a member was selling it for an amazing price and did not hesitate. So for people looking for this, check the trade thread constantly you will have a better chance there than ebay.

I think I might all my others are UK versions and I'm a little OCD so I would probably pay 70% of what there selling on Ebay for a mint Steel, need a few more posts your locked out of those rooms I think till you hit 30 which I suppose is understandable.

I had no idea this still had such desirability after all this time, I know it caused a bit of a stir on release, I think it was one of the first items I bought that seemed to have doubled in value while it was still in the post lol but if you dont mind the French title, that steel is much nicer, the play one has all the things folks seem to hate, printed ratings, printed back, no inside art, but much like play.coms other early releases like 'in time' and 'rise of the planet of the apes' they are among my favourite steels

bought it when it was released but immediately sold it because of the printed rating logos

hopefully we'll get another improved version in the near future

With Days of Futures Past doing so well I can't imagine them not releasing another version somewhere, only question is will it be any good.

Still need this one in my collection.. but can't find it for reasonable prices unfortunately.. :(
With Zavvi re-releasing this one, i hope i can find a good deal..

Try to get the French version

You can't go wrong with the French version, personally prefer it over the play.com one.

Every grail has a price impossible to justify by its appearance.

Its simply an early Marvel, to which demand has totally overtaken supply, add Play to that demand and here you have a desirable Steelbook.

I see your point. But to me anyone who pays over £10 for this is a fool. The french steelbook may have french text in the place of 'First class' but its a beauty and even my ocd let me off with keeping it in my collection.
